"This company is a pleasure to work with.  Rob left the sample books so I could see the colors at different time of the day, in the sunlight, cloudy, etc.  That made a big difference.  <br /> The initial quote was quick and once I had actually picked colors and shade style the actual number was almost immediate. <br /> After placing the order I was told about 2 weeks, possibly 3 before they would be delivered.  They arrived in less than 2 weeks. <br /> The installer was very friendly, but got right to work.  He installed shades on 22 windows in a little over 2 hours.  <br /> I would highly recommend CJS Blinds to anyone needing window coverings. <br />"

"We were initially contacted by Bob Maceda, the owner of the company. We were impressed by Bob's knowledge and expertise of the product. Our meeting with him was cordial, ow key and factual, not "hard sell" or pushy. The time between our initial meeting, the return visit to measure our windows, and the installation was reasonable. The installers were prompt, polite, efficient, and tidy. Bob dropped by our home during the installation to see how everything was going and if we had any questions. We had 21 windows replaced."

"This is the second time we contracted out to Windows, Doors and More to replace windows. After moving to another house, we knew that window replacement was on the horizon. And because of our previous experience, Windows, Doors and More would be our first and only company to contact. Todd and crew certainly did not disappoint. Todd answered all our questions and always responded to my email in a timely manner. The crew was exceptional. They put drop cloths down and put plastic over practically everything in the rooms where they were working. They are not only craftsmen and experts at their jobs but always conducted themselves in a professional manner. At the end of every work day they removed the drop cloths, the plastic coverings, debris, and vacuumed the interior. They also put all their tools and material away and left the exterior as immaculate as the inside. It is very obvious they are detailed oriented and take pride in their work. We are extremely satisfied with our window and door replacements. Todd and crew respected us, our property and made this a stress-free project. We highly recommend Windows, Doors & More."

"Raleigh Window and Siding is a top notch customer oriented business. I spent weeks researching many window manufacturers (Okna is who we went with) and performance and pricing were key factors. The Okna windows that RW&S installed are very good quality and have energy ratings and functionality that will last for decades. Don't be confused with lower priced builder grade windows some sell for slightly lower prices. The owner Bruce was very responsive to any question or issue we had during the process. The install crew was Class A with their attention to detail unmatched. Nate is the head installer and knows this business inside out. He along with his two installers Chad and Craig did a superb job removing old windows, replacing rotted trim with PVC pieces, installing leveled windows, insulating, caulking and capping the outside trim. It looks amazing now that the job is complete. I would highly recommend the Okna window as a replacement and as there are two companies that install this window, I would highly recommend Raleigh Window and Siding to perform this work."

"I contacted Aluminum Company of NC to get an estimate for (3) new windows and siding on (3) dormers. The material arrived early and install was completed 1-2 months early. The installation team was professional and efficient. Explained everything they were doing and why. They also replaced water damaged wood needed to complete the install. They cleaned up the area around the home to where you didn't know they were here except to see the new windows and siding. Follow up by Cristy to close off on the project was welcome and she was able to show us how to operate the windows for cleaning, explained the warranty and replacement if ever needed. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs siding, windows, doors, etc."

"I had used them before to replace a large front sealed window. (I thought I had found them previously in Angie's list, but they don't seem to be today) So I just called them back and asked to come give me an estimate. They came the same day. Made the measurement. Told me it would be about a week and a half to two weeks for it to be built and they would call me when it was ready. Very professional, just as they were last time. <br /> They called about two weeks later and they had time that day and I was available, so they came the same day again. They put down drop cloths inside and out for any debris and went right to work pulling out the old one and replacing it with the new one. There are two of them and they obviously have been working together for a long time as little was said, they both knew what needed to be done. As it turned out I had nothing better to do so I was able to watch. They were very efficient and friendly, even though some contractors don't like to be watched. They vacuumed up before they even removed the drop cloths, everything was done very well, in my opinion. They had noted to me that the existing frame was broken, so I knew when they took it down, it would come down in two pieces, they didn't break it. But, of course, it was easy for them to fix it upon reinstallation. They were in and out in no time and we're back in business with a new window. <br />"

"I am renovating a house and had two plastic tub enclosures that looked  "tired".  Wasn't sure if they needed to be cleaned, resurfaced, or replaced. Surface Specialist recommended the least expensive approach (cleaned) and they did an excellent job. Could easily have convinced me to resurface, but didn't. I really appreciate their honesty. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Smithfield, NC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
