"The tile floor in our master shower was literally falling apart. It was past time for us to act, so we scheduled one of those popular TV commercial companies to come out and take a look. The lady that visited was nice but the estimated she offered was not. All that money to replace just the small shower area with some ultra-thin plastic paneling glued to the wall? It was outrageous. There had to be a better option. So my wife and I looked on Angi for a local business and found Patriot Flooring. We received a call almost immediately after submitting our request. James and Tammy came out in almost no time. Right away we could tell these were not flashy commissioned based Salespeople but rather seasoned professionals with decades of experience and a Class A contractor license. James quickly provided all the information on how we could get our problem fixed. Not only would he remove the old tile from the shower area but also the bath and replace both with tile our choice. All this at a fraction of the cost we were quoted by the big-name brand company. In a couple of weeks, James and Vance were onsite to begin. Both are very courteous and respectful. The removal of the old tile was completed in about a day. James let us know some of the incorrect practices he was seeing done by the original installer like having no moisture barrier on the walls, putting nails through what is supposed to be the waterproof membrane around the bottom of the shower and so much more. We also had a horrible build-up in our shower drain due to debris from the original material. James was able to replace the blocked-up portion of the drain included as part of the project. Every evening my wife and I would look at the progress. It seemed a little slow at first but doing things right can take time. James was upfront before the work began about the timetable, so this was expected. Each step from putting in the pre-float, assembling the new membrane, overnight water testing to check for leaks, pouring the cement base of the new shower pan, applying the Red Gard, setting all the new tile, grouting, and reinstalling the fixtures (probably missing some steps), is not something you should expect to all be completed overnight. Day by day our new shower and bath took shape. Every day James would give us an update and answer any questions. Soon enough we had our new beautiful, tiled shower and bath. There was no question during this project that we had selected the right company for the job. James and his team take pride in the work they do, and it was apparent every step of the way. "After a consultation with Kenny on the work I needed done, I hired VA Brick Doctor. Kenny repointed steps on the front and back porch, and repaired couple areas on porch where tiles were cracked and loose. Due to rainy weather I had to wait a few weeks before he could start but the wait was worth it. Kenny and his assistant arrived early and worked in hot, humid conditions. Kenny is easy to work with, meticulous, and knows his trade. I was very pleased with his work. It has been a year since the work was done and everything looks great."

"I found Lynn on Angie's list and called to set up an estimate. He estimated rather low for the actual time that it took to complete the job (his estimate was $98--based on the assumption that the job would take a few hours.) He provided the tools (I had already purchased most materials), which was a blessing since the tile store had given me the wrong kind of tile-cutter. Lynn did an excellent job with the installation (the rock was crumbly and turned out to be difficult to work with). He created a side border with the marble bricks that made a clean even border between the backsplash and the painted wall. He cut the pieces with appropriate precision and worked with care and focus until the job was done. I decided to pay him more than we had agreed to when I saw how much longer the work actually took (2 days instead of the couple of hours he had predicted), but he was very gracious and probably would have accepted the original estimate. He's a man of integrity and skill."

"They came out. They could not clean my tile because they could not remove the sealant.  I did not understand why because my husband and I did it before. It was very labor extensive. They really tried and I watched them. They were really disappointed that they could not remove the sealant. They did offer to return in a couple of days with a different product but it would be an additional charge. The man said he would provide a quote within twenty four hours. Three weeks later, I had to follow up. I did not use this company for the work. I had my deal reimbursed."
