"It was a good experience from the start. The customer service representative who answered my call was pleasant, professional, and efficient. I was surprised to get an appt. within a few days of my call. Nick was the tech who responded. He explained everything step by step through his visit. He spent an hour looking over the entire unit rather than suggesting a "quick fix" like the previous repairman. I could have had my unit up an running for about $150, but I opted for the 24 point cleaning and maintenance package which increased the cost by about $200. We have lived in the house for 5 years, and the gas fireplace has been one of our favorite features. However, we didn't know it could look so good until Nick worked his magic. We will be signing up for the service contract which seems to be an especially good deal. This relatively small business seems to really have its act together."

"My husband and I recently had all of the windows and doors replaced in our sunroom and we are very happy that we chose this company to do the work. They completely transformed the sunroom. Thank you so much to Scott and his team (Wayne, Dan, Matt, & Mike) who went above and beyond to make sure the work was done correctly. We are extremely pleased with the results. They are very friendly, professional, and meticulous. We look forward to continuing to do business with them when we are ready to remodel our bathroom. I highly recommend this company!"

"Paddy's was excellent from start to finish. The price was not only very low but no pressure to sign on the spot. Charlie was very upfront about the price and it included everything. There were no surprises. The installers we great worked all day and got it all done. I am going to call them in the future for windows I need replaced."

"The cons: Punctuality. Day 1. They called me an hour after they were supposed to be there because the Foreman had a family issue. OK, I understand. Day 2. Perfectly Sunny Day, 88 degrees. They no-called, no-showed. When I called them, they cancelled due to the weather. Then the Foreman calls me personally to tell me that they didn't get the parts in. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! The pros: The job was done right the first time. It's been about 6 months with a few heavy storms and some snow, and there have been no leaks or other issues. Also, the exhaust pipe came out of the house on one of the seams, and they had trouble get the boot to look nice, but they worked until I was satisfied. I will take a punctuality issue over a leaky roof any day :-) Over all, Job Well Done!!!"

"I had called Bafundo and A. Parker (both A rated) to give us estimates on our kitchen extension roof. A. Parker quoted $1575 after the Angie's coupon for a standard shingle roof (lifetime shingle warranty). Bafundo presented me with an entirely different approach that I thought would address not just the roof, but also the temperatures in the extension. The extension, which has windows on all 3 sides, has always been the hottest room in the summer and coldest in the winter. Bafundo suggested installing a Duro-Last roof, which is VERY different from anything I've ever seen or heard of. It consists of a flexible white vinyl sheet over 1.5" urethane foam panels. My reasoning was that the white roof would reflect the sunlight in the summer, making the room cooler, and the foam would retain more heat in the winter. It was considerably more expensive ($2555), but held the promise of solving not just the need for a new roof, but the room's temperature issues. <br /> The main roofs and some of our vinyl siding needed to be replaced because of a hailstorm in which the homes in our area were <br /> pounded with golf-ball-size+ hail. Bafundo replaced the entire roof in a single day, including approximately 20 sheets of plywood that had been "fried" by the high temps in the hip roof. The installation included three new ridge vents. Given the total roof area, I found their speed amazing. They used IKO architectural shingles, and the roof looks great. They also <br /> replaced the damaged siding and it matches perfectly. <br /> After the main roof was completed, they tackled the extension roof. The total time to install this small Duro-Last roof was 1.5 <br /> days, and it took a "fixer-upper" employee an additional day to fix some (not all) of the gaffs made by the original installers. We've had a couple of gully-washer downpours since the roof was installed and, functionally, it works; we've detected no leaks four months after installation and we've had lots of rain. The temp in the room is indeed considerably lower during hot days <br /> and warmer during cold days. But the issue with this roof is that much of the installation appears to have been done by workers unconcerned with aesthetics. Caulking was not smoothed out, so there are large blobs of caulk in several places around the edge of the roof, some of which can be seen from the ground. The Duro-Last vinyl sheet is run up under the house siding, but after doing that, the siding was not replaced all the way down to the top of the roof. Some siding was dimpled or bent. The roof contained two skylights, which had to be raised 1.5" to accommodate the urethane foam boards. The original workers put aluminum caps over whatever they used to raise the skylight walls. Those caps had a major (1/4") gap under them on the inside, where they can be seen, and one was uneven. The corners of the drywall in the skylights had cracked and were not caulked. These mistakes were later fixed by the "fixer-upper". Because the roof is 1.5" higher than a shingled roof (due to the urethane foam boards), the entire roof has to have vinyl edging. The edging itself looks fine, but they have to use joiners in multiple places. Despite the small perimeter of the roof (~40'), they installed 7 joiners. The reason they had to use so many was later explained to me (has to do with the layout of the urethane boards), but they are nonetheless not attractive. <br /> Cleanup: Bafundo uses a subcontractor to do cleanup. They missed some major items. When I started seeing a few nails in the back yard, I asked one of the workers installing the Duro-Last roof for a nail sweeper. My scan of the yard immediately behind the kitchen extension turned up about two dozen nails and staples. I checked the sides and front of the house and found only one nail. Following a gully-washer rain 2 days later, I happened to look into the end of one of the gutter downspouts. It had 53 nails in it (yes, I counted them) poised to s*** onto the driveway. Since none of the other four downspouts had any nails in or near them, I deduced that the cleanup crew had blown the nails from the garage/porch roof gutters into that one downspout, but neglected to subsequently remove them from the downspout exit. No harm done, but the sheer volume of the nails was scary.  <br /> I also noticed a week or so after the work was finished that the ridge vent for the porch roof was not symmetrical; i.e., the slots on one side of the ridge board were much wider than on the other side. That was subsequently fixed, but this mistake along with the unremoved nails are an indication that the company had not done a careful post-installation inspection of the work. <br /> Bottom line: Overall, I would say that Bafundo does a very good job, and does it quickly. The only areas needing improvement are attention to aesthetics on Duro-Last roofs and post-installation checking of the work.  <br />"

"Could not be more pleased with all aspects of this work, the technicians who performed it, and the ownership who responded quickly (as contrasted with several - 8!- other roofers in the region, who failed to follow through over more than a year's efforts on our part to hire someone). Everyone involved was courteous, efficient, and thorough. Even clean-up was perfect!"

"It went well. As a smaller job, I was fit in between larger jobs and that was fine. They removed the front door screen, completely re-did the front door trim, replaced the screen door and caulked everything. There was some confusion about the diverter, but all is well now. The best thing was that the actual work was not as involved as they thought it might be, so I received a credit! That impressed me, as I know there are companies out there who would not mention a thing and just keep the money. So, thank you, Bayside. Have used you twice now and will continue do so and recommend you to others."
