"I have used this company before, for a patio at our old house, so when I moved and so I would need a new sidewalk I knew who to call. Derek, the sales person and estimator,arrived right on time and was very professional in suggesting a design for the new sidewalk. He also suggested that we could use some of the existing flagstone to build a pad for our trash cans around the side of the house. they told me they estimated the work would be done at the end of August, but they actually came out two weeks early to do the work. on a hot day, the team worked hard and was very efficient and precise. Mr. Morgado the supervisor was there at the beginning and we discussed and confirmed the work to be done...then he gave clear instructions to the crew. They did a super job, and it looks terrific...attractive and professional. Santos the crew leader confirmed things with me before doing them, like how to handle a tricky step up from the driveway. We are very pleased with the sidewalk and have gotten several compliments on it."

"After finding Tillerman Gardens online and requesting an estimate for substantial hardscape/landscape work on our newly renovated house, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that Jesse, the owner, actually grew up in our neighborhood! On top of being a Takoma Park local, and an all around friendly, honest, business owner, we also came to learn that he does great work as well! His team completely transformed our hardscape areas, including installing a beautiful flagstone walkway and patio, a perfectly graded cement driveway, iron railings on our steps, and plants in a number of locations. On top of that, some of the work required some touch up and sealing and Jesse and his team have come out a couple of times later this spring to do that work unprompted. There's a little bit left, but I know they'll be around to finish it as they've taken care of us every step of the way. Even better, everything was done in budget. Look no further! "We have a finished basement and a crawl space in the storage area of our basement.  We have found after large rain storms recently water has been increasing in our crawl space. After one storm we found over 6 inches of water above the gravel in the crawl space and purchased a temporary pump to pump out the water, discarded the plastic vapor barrier with concern of mold growing on it and began to see seepage through the foundation wall to the basement. 
In order to find a solution we scheduled four appointments with Angie's list highly regarded basement waterproofing contractors.  We were surprised to find that each contractor provided different solutions ranging in cost from $13,814 to $1,950.  We were impressed with Mr. Norfolk's honesty and straight forward approach.  He noted that he could do some of the solutions provided by other contractors with piping systems to a sump pump but suggested to start with a more cost effective solution of just adding a sump pump to the crawl area and replacing the current basement sump pump that was 27 years old.  If additional solutions were needed in the future he could preform them but why spend the extra money at this time if not necessary. The work was performed on February 1st and took two workman 3.5 hours to complete.  The workman explained how the system worked and asked that we please follow up if we had any questions.  The only area I could see improvement was clean up as after they cleaned up I had to again sweep the work area and vacum the carpets covered by their drop cloths. There was also debris and concrete mix left on the driveway.

The tree service was excellent, however the landscaping had numerous deficiencies. 

To start,  the office manager rescheduled me two times and did not call to notify me.  I actually lost a day at work due to them assuring me they would be there and after I called to find out where they were, they advised me that they were finishing up another job.

Landscaping work was OK, except for the window boxes built in the front of the house were not constructed the same and the front landscaping was very sloppy work.  Mulching in the back of the house was put down sparingly, as I already have weed block showing.

"The company was responsive - gave me a same-week appointment.  Adolfo came to my house, assessed the work to be done, and quoted me a fair price.  He did the work right at that time.  The job was done well - it looks professional and neat.   He even colored the concrete so the patches would better match the existing concrete.  I am pleased with the work.

They asked important questions along the way about the sizes and locations to make sure we agreed with the details of what they were installing.
