Customers say: Quick response

"even though there were some unexpected issues Dave and Joe made sure it got done within on the same day with a lot of additional effort but the same price. Very easy guys to work with, answered all my questions and it was smooth sailing for me. Cannot express enough how professional and hard working the crew was to overcome the obstacles and still had the forms set for the 3:00 concrete drop."

"Excellent. Chris was very easy to work with. Fast quote and flexible in scheduling, good communication. He did a great job on the window and sent picture of the work done on the chimney. Would definitely use him again"

"TLDR: They're the best. Save yourself some hassle and hire them now. I'm a tough customer. I like to work on my house myself and when I have to hire pros I tend to always think I could have done the work better myself, sometimes rightly sometimes wrongly. Anyway, i'm not that easy to please. Degruchy did a fantastic job on a not that straightforeward project for my house. Some cosmetic stuff, some structural stuff, in a few different areas, just about a year ago. Andy, the owner, clearly knows and understands the business, so when you get a quote, it is probably well judged and you can bet it's fair. Dave, who was the lead guy on site, was there every day and is like the ideal employee for a contracting company: decades of experience, personable, responsible, responsive, helpful, flexible, conscientious, and dedicated to the craft. Harrison, the more junior guy, still has a good amount of experience in the field and is well on his way to becoming a master himself. An ideal #2. Having a master and apprentice take on the job was like something out of another age. If you quote your next masonry job, Andy may not be the cheapest, and if your job doesn't particularly require skill or a practiced hand and eye, maybe you can afford to go with someone else. But I'd pay a premium for Degruchy just to have the certainty that I was getting the best and to not have to worry about a thing. This is the best review I've ever written and it's well deserved. Hire Degruchy."

"Bennis is a local chimney repair company. Tim came out, inspected the chimney and a provided a very thorough estimate of the needed repairs. It was more detailed and accurate compared to the estimates from other companies. The price to do the work was very reasonable. They came a little bit ahead of schedule which worked out better for us. Felice took his time and did high quality repair work, including removing all debris and doing a thorough clean up when finished. I was very pleased with this repair service. total time to complete the work start to finish was about 2.5 hours."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Souderton, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
