"For the most part very well. Louis did an excellent job on our rotted window sill. We thought it'd be an easy replacement, but there was considerable rot underneath. He gave us a couple of options on how to fix it, which we appreciated. His strength is an ability to diagnose and figure out different ways to fix a problem. He also repaired a storm door that had been damaged. That wasn't as successful. It doesn't open and close as smoothly as we'd like and the holes for the dead bolt weren't done as professionally as expected. The only other negative was a bit of sloppiness with the caulking around the window. Overall, we'd hire Louis again. He's competent and skilled enough to give you multiple options on how to fix a probelm."

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"My brother in law suffers from long bouts of depression, so I wasn't surprised one day when I received a call from his current landlord that they were in the process of evicting him from his condo he's owned for over 25 years. Turned out according to the Coordinator they actually do about 50 of these project all through out New England from New York to Maine After the initial evaluation 24 hours later he provided an estimate for the entire project from the Cleanup that consisted of Cleaning, pack , hauling away of  items, they even dropped off dozens of donation for us they renovated the entire condo such as the kitchen, bathroom, they repainted the entire condo installed new flooring got rid of that dreadful odor by deodorizing the condo the Management company was, so impressed with them they dropped the proceedings. As for my brother in law he's much better they referred him to there in house clinician after the cleanup and he's been showing much better improvement at dealing with his depression. If you or someone you love require a service company that will hold your hands from start to finish by offering a one stop shop approach then Top Notch is definitely the way to go!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
