"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Overall, the project went fine. The main concern was that the project went from May to November 2017. While the work was very well done, interruptions in the work were too frequent. Bruce is an old-school craftsman who does incredible work. He is able to produce materials that cannot be obtained otherwise. There are a few follow-up matters that need to be addressed. Our project involved removing a wall between the kitchen and a sitting room and a total tear-down from ceiling to floor. The overall result is very nice. Be sure to have a clear understanding about changes and what they may cost. Get a clear understanding about your timeline to completion. I may revisit this review when some of the remaining issues are addressed. KH"

"The ordering part was fine. The stuff came in very quickly as it was a special order so it came in on a timely basis. I did have trouble with the quantity that was shipped. They short shipped me a unit and some of the pieces came in broken. I called customer service and they took care of it right away. They took care of the financial transaction and all of that. They did well."

"Mike came well recommended from a friend who had previously hired him and he did not disappoint! Genuine and honest man who does his very best with any job he takes on. Also, I received several estimates and Mike's was the best priced-very reasonable with the compensation he is asking for. Another thing is that, he teaches in a contracting trade school so you know he is up to date with requirements and isnt going to cut corners!"

"Company did a good job. Estimate was prompt and unlike other estimators Mikhail had all his paperwork up front and responded promptly to questions. Lots of follow up also.
The crew seemed to take pride in doing a good job and got most of the job done in one day. I am not a roofing expert but from what I saw they paid attention to detail and took initiative on fixing problems that they found.
Cleanup was good, just a few scraps found off and on. Estimate was slightly lower than the competition, they did exactly what we wanted and then some, I would recommend this contractor.
Negative is very minor - no cap flashing on sides of chimney."

"We initially reached out to JRB Renovations based on other online reviews and Josh's swiftness in replying. We ultimately hire JRB based on our initial design meeting, Josh's professionalism and apparent knowledge about what we were attempting to have done, and his competitive quote/pricing. Josh and team were easy to work with, always on time and communicative about any concerns, changes, or other remodeling thoughts as they came up. Our experience was unique due to the COVID-19 quarantine and shelter-in-place, but Josh continued to keep us informed about timing expectations and ensured we were comfortable with his team as they re-entered our home. Josh was on site most days and did the majority of the work himself with his assistant (other than contracted work like tile and stone counter top). The end results are great. The only thing we would do differently or next time is hire a residential design architect. This is not against JRB as Josh was very open to our design ideas and changes during the project, but having a clear blueprint and plan upfront would have helped."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in South Rockwood, MI

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
