"Have worked with Jeremy and Larry at 1st Security for a few months now and they're great. They're far more responsive than any other alarm company I've worked with and they're focused on meeting your needs, versus endlessly trying to get you to buy more services and sensors that you might not need. In the house I just bought some other alarm company had installed a window open/close sensor on a window that doesn't open - probably fooling the prior senior citizen owners to pay more for more equipment they didn't need. "Dan was punctual and polite and delivered exactly what I asked for. He really listened to me and gave me two closets that I really love. One closet was my own design and he executed it exactly as I envisioned it. Dan reinforced our bathroom towel bar and hung the new medicine cabinet as well as mounted several more wall hooks than anticipated, plus hanging two wall mirrors. Before he left, he quickly fixed the hinges on two of my kitchen cabinets at no charge. One of my favorite projects is the new barn door on our laundry room. Dan made sure that he communicated with me regarding all possible configurations of the door before beginning the project. I will always call Dan for all my projects."

"When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."
