"I hired these guys because they had the best prices and were very personable during the estimate. They ran into a lot of issues with my house and were able to overcome them quickly. They were easy to get along with and super flexible. I will hire them again for future projects and recommend them to anyone I know that needs plumbing services!"

"Son Jerry and Ben did the re-pipe. What a nightmare for them. My attic has a low pitch and all of my heating is in the ceiling. Of course it didn't help that the days they did it were in the 90+ temperature range. I do not know how they were able to crawl over all of the heating duct work. Both were very friendly and willing workers. I can not thank them enough for the great job and all of their hard work. Replaced all the valves in bathrooms, kitchen, washing machine and in house main water shut off."

"Great work, these guys know their business. I did not think it would go so quickly and "easily" (for me) but they re-piped my house in a day. That was 3 years ago, and it has held up great. They were on time, tidy, did what they promised and gave me plumbing I can be confident about. Now over the holidays we had a plumbing issue, a small leak in an old pipe out near the meter, and they came out today and repaired it, digging when its in the 30's outside. Now that I have new pipes stem to stern from Global plumbing I can rest easy. I so appreciate that they are plumbers I can rely on."

"Two weeks earlier we had Washington Plumbing and Heating clear a clogged toilet soil pipe after our housecleaner lost a sponge down the toilet.  The charge was $196 including tax and standard service-call fee.  The job was apparently done successfully, but the toilet again became clogged a few days ago.  We called again to make another unclogging appointment.  The technician arrived on time, unclogged the toilet with more robust equipment, and -- without any evidence that the two clogs were related, refused any payment -- not even a tip! <br>"

"It took a while to get our schedules aligned, but once we did Ed showed up on time and did a great job. It was his suggestion to bring the shut off valve into the pantry for easy access. The old shut off required crawling under the house about 10 feet to get to it. He also had a better idea for the heater overflow than another vendor (NW Plumbing) and at a fraction of their quote. We did end up with a very minor leak at the shut off valve, but Ed is taking care of it. <br /> We highly recommend hiring Ed for any plumbing you need. <br />"

"We went to Home Depot to look into replacing our gas hot water tank, which surprisingly lasted 24 years. We were given the number to Fast Water Heater Co and made the appointment. Adam came out, and after explaining all of the details on the pricing, got started and finished in less than two hours. Excellent service, fast and we are happy with the results."

"After nearly 3 years and multiple plumber visits from other companies, Dan from At Your Service Plumbing FINALLY solved the issue. We would hear banging and clicking noises in our plumbing and were able to identify the toilet in the master bath as the source but it wasn't until Dan arrived did we finally identify the cause. Dan determined there was a bleed in the hot and cold water lines allowing for warm water to feed the toilet causing the piping to expand causing the noises. What was impressive for us was how quickly he was able to figure this out. Other plumbers never even mentioned this as a possibility. Then he had to determine where the bleed was generating. Again, he pretty quickly identified the source for the water bleed was coming from our master shower with dual shower heads/faucets that had eroded parts. The showers were working fairly well so we didn't realize that is was an issue. But once Dan opened up the faucets it was apparent to Dan the parts needed to be replaced. Parts were ordered and were installed today. I can not over emphasize or exaggerate how incredibly friendly and professional Dan and his assistant Zach, were. From the initial call to At Your Service Plumbing to the final installation today, the entire experience is by far one of the best we have ever experienced with a service provider. We are so grateful to have the noise finally eliminated and to know we now have a plumber we can trust."

"Two days before Christmas Mr Paulk came and cleared some 60 year old piping in my rental property. The tenant even related how efficient and couteous he is. I have contacted Mr Paulk for plumbing services on numerous occasions and he's always prompt, courteous and extremely professional. He's the only reason I joined Angie's. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Spanaway, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
