"The process was painless and easy. There were no high-pressure salespeople to deal with. We went online, told what we wanted, and ZEN sent us the quotes we needed. Alix and Matt were incredibly patient working with us. We had lots of questions and weren't exactly sure what we wanted. They worked through the process with us and helped throughout. Once everything was decided, the windows were ordered. Mind you, this was during the covid-19 shut-down but after 6 or so weeks, we got a call the windows were ready to be installed. Their ace installation team called (Dan and Brenda) everything was scheduled when we had a death in the family. We called and with great understanding, Matt and their team rescheduled the installation for a week later. Dan and Brenda were artists in their installation. They knew their installation process exactly - and what to do and when to do it. We are still amazed. They were a perfect team. We are so thankful for their calming presence as they worked and made jokes along the installation process (our family was on edge after the death of a close family member). They were promptly on time and there when they said they would be there. They cleaned up everything along the way. And they even cleaned the windows they installed. My 2 kids (8 & 4) loved having them around and we were all sad to see them go when they finished. I highly recommend Zen Windows to everyone looking for quality window replacements. We went with the lowest cost option for everything as this was going in to a very rundown mudroom/3-season room so it was a huge improvement. "We were initially contacted by a marketer going door to door and arranged a meeting to get price estimates for new vinyl siding and seamless gutters. This person indicated that we might get better pricing if we agreed to some sort of endorsement or posting in front of the house. We have never contracted anyone to complete this type of work before so we were interested in an estimate even though our current siding is in good shape yet. Our gutters do need to be replaced, however. Another rep contacted us a few days before the meeting to make sure we still wanted to proceed. Two people arrived about 10 minutes earlier than planned, one a trainee. This actually worked out well since they used the time to measure the house, and it allowed me time to return home for the meeting. The representative was from the Omaha NE area versus Sioux Falls SD. The rep was very personable and knowledgeable although the sales pitch was a bit on the aggressive side. The siding quality appeared to be good, all work would be completed by company personnel, and the siding came with a transferable (one new owner), life-time guarantee. Ultimately, we didn't like the way the vinyl channels would stick out from the door and window frames and the pricing was much higher than expected. After thoroughly explaining the qualities of the siding, the rep started the discussion of pricing by providing us a "national average" for a similar sized house although the assumptions and basis for this average was never explained. Next, the rep provided a "fair market value" (FMV) of what the company would normally charge. We were then offered a discounted price that was only good the day of our meeting. This was over 19% less than the company's normal pricing, or FMV, and included siding, gutters and a work-around for door and window trims. Another caveat was this price could only be offered by this particular rep. The presentation was well scripted and reminded me somewhat of a time-share sales pitch. We never expected a decision would have to be made immediately and informed the rep that we needed additional time to research other products and contractors. Ultimately, the rep shot us the best "deal" which was 31.5% less than the company's FMV. Again, this was only good if we made an immediate decision. I felt the best deal was still about 25% higher then what we would pay a local contractor based on some recent siding work completed for a family member. When we asked about the discount for endorsing or marketing the work on our house, the rep indicated this is simply not done. Pictures of other siding projects completed by the company were provided. We asked if we could visit other houses in the area with the vinyl siding, but this is not permitted due to company policy and privacy issues. The rep indicated references could be set up, if needed. We also asked for an estimate for just the gutters but this was about 2-3 times what I expected to pay for a similar product. Before leaving, the rep informed us we would have another three days to make a decision as long as we contacted the rep before leaving the Sioux Falls area. On the positive side, my wife and I enjoyed the rep who turned out to be a veteran from the Vietnam war, and would actually enjoy spending personal time with the rep if the opportunity ever arose."

"<br /> Barton Little is very charismatic and personally works hard to hound unresponsive insurance agents until they give your claim the personal attention it deserves. The roofing crew that he hires did a good job with installation, and left the yard etc with very few scraps. I believe I was able to find a total of 3 nails/screws throughout the entire yard, so overall great job there. Mr. Little also requires no payment until you are paid by the insurance company- another reputable business practice to look for when hiring a roofing company, and prior to making our final payment, he either answered the phone personally or returned calls/texts/emails within the hour of missing our communication. <br /> Unfortunately,the crew nailed the new roof through our expensive gutter system, which also needed to be replaced, and thus would not have been an issue had he returned our calls or emails in order to come rectify the issue- which will require removing that lowest portion of roof to slide the old gutter system out and then reinstall that portion of the roof. Not that I'm claiming this is easy-I've never installed a roof- but it should be a straightforward project with a straightforward solution. <br /> It took 3 weeks for Mr. Little to contact us and resolve this issue, but when he finally emailed us, he promptly sent a subcontractor to our property to assess the project, and the subcontractor then quickly scheduled a day to complete the work. Per the gutter company, there were no further problems that they could see, and from the street the roof looks as beautiful as the day it was installed.  <br /> Thus, I give Synergy Roofing an A rating. A+ for initial hard work and quality of installation, A- for follow-through post-installation, but with some prompting Mr. Little will be true to his word and his warranty, so I would recommend Synergy Roofing for all your roofing and general contracting needs."
