"Hal's work is top-notch but I grew increasingly frustrated with the timing and inconsistency of his work habits. His was one of several estimates I received and basically he said he would beat any estimate I received. The difference is that everyone else was going to use cedar and he only works with pressure-treated Southern yellow pine, which is less than half the cost of cedar. I was unsure of the durability and longevity of that product so I did extensive research online. Still unsure, I drive around the Twin Cities to see other jobs Hal did that gave stood the test of time and I decided to move forward. Clearly, the way he builds his fences require considerably more manual labor than those built with cedar posts and pickets so essentially instead of paying for the higher cost of cedar, you pay for increased labor costs. Unfortunately, Hal isn't as going as predicting when he will get jobs complete as he is completing them well. He was over a month late in getting started and I repeatedly had to call him to inquire about the delay. It was quite frustrating but since I didn't absolutely need the fence done by a certain date, I decided to practice patience. Once he finally started, most days he and his helper only worked 4 hours so the project dragged on far longer than I thought it would. Admittedly, there were a couple of weather-related days but other times when it was a perfect day, they wouldn't show up and I would give no idea when they were coming again. After I told him I really needed to have him be more communicative, he was and within a short time after that conversation, he completed the fence. The fence is beautiful and appears very sturdy. We'll see how it withstands time and weather but for now I am very happy with it. Hal does beautiful work but if you are on a strict timeline I would not recommend working with him. If you are flexible and don't mind putting more effort into communication, he is a great person to work with.

"Super nice sales person, Casey, pitched a shower for us. In the end, the nuances about our particular project got too pricey for us. Casey was wonderful at responding to us promptly and letting us know what we were waiting for while internally they thought about our questions. In the end, even though they didn't have to refund our money which we put down as a deposit, they did since no work had been started. In an industry that you hear about so many unhappy customers feeling they get ripped off, it's such a pleasure to meet a company like Rusco that acts honorably in the end."

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

Oscar and his crew did a beautiful job of installing our roof and cleared up the site before they left excellently. Extremely polite and efficient. "Right from our very first time meeting with Right Choice Construction, we were impressed! The salesman, Tony, was so personable and really took the time to listen to our needs. He helped us pick out the best windows for our budget and the functionality that we needed. To put icing on the cake, a few days after we had signed our contract, we got a package in the mail. Fresh baked cookies in a tin that said Thank You and Right Choice Construction Mugs. I've never heard of a business doing such a nice and thoughtful thing! Plus the cookies were really good :D This company even sent out a second person, Matt, to re-measure all of the windows and make sure they were the kind that we had wanted. To me, that is just high-quality work and professionalism! It was also nice because he was able to give us a ballpark time frame of when they would be put in (which the windows arrived earlier than expected so they were installed and done with weeks before their prediction, that's a plus in my book!) Fast forward to the installation days. My husband and I both had to work when they were going to be here but that actually worked out just fine. It was only a two-day installation but each day that we got home, they had cleaned up our house really well, leaving no mess behind. Once they were finished, the owner of the company, Rich, came over and did a walk-through with us, making sure we were satisfied with each and every window. The warranty with this company is phenomenal as well! This company is definitely worth checking out! We highly recommend Right Choice Construction for their excellent customer service, punctuality, professionalism, and down-to-earth people. We have several projects planned for the future and you can bet on where we're going to go!"
