"We lost our air conditioning the Friday before Mother's Day this year and I was scrambling in the heat to find somebody to cine and look at it. When nobody else would answer or would come out on Saturday, these guys did. Doug was great and he sent over Will and Rob for Saturday afternoon. Will and Rob are two of the best craftsmen that I have ever dealt with. They spent four hours Saturday going over my system and my setup and we talked budget, recommendations, the fixes, and schedule. By the end of Saturday, I knew that I was in good, competent hands. We agreed that the AC needed to be replaced, which was an 8 year old Trane (garbage). The furnace would be failing in the near future so we would replace that as well. They were going to completely rework my return ducting, which was shoddily installed by the original guy. They would replace my existing hot water tank with a tankless unit. They would install an automation system and replace a broken frost free hose bib. A lot of work. They were prompt and started work on Monday, worked all day Tuesday and Wednesday and came back on Thursday. They took their time, took care of my home and their work area, and most importantly, they took pride in their work. What they took out of my home was garbage and it was poorly and hastily installed. What they put in its place is great quality equipment and it was meticulously installed by two guys who take great pride in their work. While I am frustrated and unhappy that this situation occurred, I am glad that I hag the chance to work with these guys and this company. I will most certainly use these guys many more times."

"We could not have been more pleased with the work the Madden Brothers did to create our new master bath and closet. From beginning to end, the project was a great experience. We were actually sorry to see them go when the job was finished! When has that ever happened with a contractor? George and Brian gave us exactly what we wanted and did so in a professional, yet extremely pleasant manner. We were very appreciative of their knowledge, experience, and attention to detail. They are both perfectionists when it comes to the way things should be done. If that wasn't all, they left the workspace and house clean and vacuumed every single day and I can't tell you how great, and unusual, that was. Even the subs commented on how neat they were! In addition to everything else, their painting skills are truly impressive (I have never seen straighter paint lines along any ceilings!). We couldn't be any happier with the results. "I can't praise the workers highly enough. Everything was professionally done. The entire area was cleaned at the end of each day. They made every effort to minimize disruption to my use of the spaces. One day there was a wind storm and a piece of fascia on my neighbor's house came loose and was flapping against the house. The neighbors were out of town. Bob Marburger, the manager on the project was able to pull the fascia down. He did it without any consideration of how he might get paid for his time. In fact, when my neighbor asked him how much he was charging for the fix; Bob told him to forget it. That is an excellent example of the type of person Rick Horn hires. On more than one occasion, they took my garbage to the curb or did other things that helped me out but were unrelated to their project. I have already hired them for another project. Their prices are fair--not the lowest or the highest; but the quality you will get for that fair price is excellent. Rick Horn Construction gets my highest recommendation with no reservation."

"The grout between the kitchen tiles started breaking and cracking fairly quickly in multiple areas. The area between the kitchen and dining room, tile versus wood floor, had a small piece of wood that provided a rounded edge as the kitchen floor was now higher than the dining room. This nails began to come out of this piece of wood and snag sock and foot within a month. The wood coming loose may have contributed to the cracks in the tile's grout. The painter took a month to paint a 1000 square foot home. The faucet was installed improperly. The water valves for the kitchen faucet had the washers forced in to the pipes. I visually confirmed this as the plumber I had hired had to determine why I had lost water on the second and first floor spontaneously. In his opinion someone may have tightened the valves so tightly that the washers were position to eventually come loose and block the flow of water. This was an expensive lesson. Depending on the project AB is fine. Like most contractors he has multiple sites at any given time, taking the more skilled labor to the more important jobs. The end results was low quality work that requires additional expenditures to rectify. That money would have been better spent hiring higher skilled labor."

"Had a problem with one GFI plug in lower level, when it tripped it took out the power in all four bathrooms as well as garage. We called Ray late Friday afternoon. Saturday morning he returned call. He took the time to explain what he could do and quoted his cost. 30 minutes later he was at our door. 2 hours later he was finished and we no longer have a problem. In this day and age it is very refreshing to have a tradesman respond to a call as quickly as Ray did and have the work completed in a professional manor. When Ray was finished he double checked all he had done and explained in terms that I could understand. That was certainly appreciated. The year warranty was cream on top. I would recommend his services to anybody and have already recommended him to my brother in law for a ceiling fan install.
