"The manager takes time to explain the problems and the resolution. He trains his staff well. The staff is knowledgeable. The staff knew Tappan was made by Frigidaire. They explained how the burners were set up and how each burner/coil, self-clean and oven features operate. Mr. Appliance has excellent customer service. I had an appointment scheduled 2 days after I called the manager. His staff diagnosed and then when the part came in it was installed. The process took about 10 days from my call to the work being completed. I have used the repaired burner and my meal turned out perfect. The price I paid was fair. I recommend Mr. Appliance of Springfield."

"Kim came over right away to install our new gas stove and for less than half of what others were charging. The other three people we called would not have been able to come out for almost a week! Kim also thoroughly inspected our gas line and repaired a small leak that we were unaware of, still less expensive than any competitors' install price alone! When we found out that Kim does all sorts of handyman jobs- we were sold. He is now our only "go to" for any household repair or install."

They completed the job in less than one day and even hauled the old unit away. When the initial inspection of the unit was completed, the technician discussed all of the possibilities with the repair. He was honest with me and suggested replacing the unit and the furnace as well while he was there. I like that when he gave me the estimate, both the technician and I signed it. This was all at his suggestion, which I appreciated. Overall, it turned out very well.

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"Update: as stated, I am updating this because the work has been completed. My biggest issue was communication. I talked to Frank about this before he left. He was very open to the feedback and acknowledged he had let me down on that front. He did complete the work last night and my washer is working great. No question Frank does know his stuff. Original: I will be more than happy to update this if the work is ever done or I get my money back. But as of now, I do not recommend this company. Frank called Oct 12 to schedule the appointment from a post I made. That was the only time he contacted me proactively. After assessing my washer and telling me what was wrong, and the cost, I agreed to pay him up front so he could order the part. I have constantly sought updates and continually got excuses as to why he had not come yet each time committing to arriving the next day and even giving specific times then never showing up. And worse, never saying he would not text numerous times before finally getting a response with a new excuse (had to order the part, I am just too busy, I am in the hospital, my truck is in the shop and I left the parts in it, I am backed up, my van is in-shop and I left the parts in it). Again after asking repeatedly for updates, Monday, Oct 19 he stated he had the parts and was literally on his way to my house. Again, no call no show. I then followed up on Wednesday and he said he is in the hospital. I asked what happened to be on his way Monday. No answer. Meanwhile, I am still without a washer and spending even more money at laundromats. I get that some of the excuses are, on their own, good reasons, but as a customer, I should not just be left hanging having already paid. And I should not have to follow up. Frank should be contacting me."

"They have always fixed the problems that we've had. Frustrations? Delays? At times. We live in a flawed world. But overall, service has been professional and well done. It has always been worth the monthly fee and deductibles. If you consider that most appliances today only last five years or so, breakdowns are going to be a given. Our most recent repair will require at least two service calls and an $1800 part. That more than pays for our entire year's fees."
