"It went great, this is a unique service, for DIY-ers. My electric dryer wouldn’t heat, so I went on line and diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. I also watched several how to videos, but none of them matched my dryer. Finally went on Angie’s list and it matched me up with Tin Lizzee which is a chat service to help you through your repair. The technician I talked with was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I did get stuck during the repair and they called me on my cell and talked me through what I needed to do. I know I saved a lot of money by not having an appliance repair person come to my house with the mark up on parts and labor rates per hour I believe I saved at least half of the cost, if not more from ordering on line and chatting and talking to the Tin Lizzee technician, it was $30 well spent."

"An excellent service. I called late Friday for a washing machine repair. I spoke with Sharon Monday morning to arrange for an appointment that day. Sharon and Keith, rearranged their scheduled to meet me. They quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem at a reasonable price. They kept me apprised of the possible problems as to what would be repairable and what would be financially not feasible. "he fI called Appliance Savers Repair after getting an email about an Angie's List deal. I had not heard of the company before, but when I saw a review saying that he fixed a 4 year old LG refrigerator, I gave him a call. He answered the phone right away, and I told him at length about the problem we were having and that I had had another repairman look at it. I also told him that there have been serious problems with this model and that the other repairman and a local appliance salesman said to trash it and get a new one.
Mike felt it was worth trying to fix it.
He was able to come the very next day and spent over three hours checking everything and trying to diagnose the problem. He was willing to remove the doors to be able to get to the back of the unit, something the other repairman did not do.He admitted to being baffled, but wanted to try replacing the freezer thermistor in case that was the problem.  He returned the next day when the part arrived, but that did not fix the issue either.
I have never had an appliance repairman work so hard. He was so good about explaining what could be going on and how he was trying to fix it. The amazing thing was that refused to take any payment for his work, saying that he came to do a diagnostic on the appliance and that since he was unable to repair it, we should not be charged. This is my first experience with anyone doing business this way. I would recommend him to anyone.

My a/c stopped working due to a clogged condensation drain. The technician was at my home the very next morning, cleared the clog and got the a/c working within 20 minutes. I was so pleased with the professionalism, I asked if they had any kind of semi-annual service that I could sign up for. The technician said that they do offer that service, but I don't need it since my system is new and in good shape and that I would just be wasting my money. All I need for a few more years is an annual check up for just $75 per visit.

As a contrast, a previous a/c service came to my home to clear the drain just a few months before and he DID try to sell me their $200 semi-annual check-up service...even though I didn't really need it.
