"Our mailbox was completely destroyed by a late night driver who hit it with his vehicle and kept on driving. Gabriel came and installed a new mailbox and did a perfect job! I highly recommend him and we plan to use his services again for other household repairs."

"The service turned out great. I was happy to find I could reface the cabinets instead of having to replace them and saved a lot of money. The cabinets have held up very well. The technicians were efficient and completed the job in a timely manner. I had no problem scheduling the service."

"The provider arrived on time.  I was only interested in a partial remodel -- that it, the addition of some cabinets to my kitchen.  He quickly drew up an estimate (which was quite a bit higher than a similar job done by Home Depot several years ago).  Frankly, I began to wonder why I had paid someone to give me an estimate.  Oh well.  Maybe if you're having a major reconstruction job it would be worth it."

"Art Woodstone Studio did a wonderful job and took great care of these chairs. They matched the re-finish to remaining pieces. The old chairs wiggled, and wobbled, and their veneer was cracked in places. Now, not anymore. The studio knew I had a time crunch and they worked to meet my needs. I would use them again in an instant!"

"I selected KRB Kitchen & Bath to renovate three bathrooms in my townhouse. Two bathrooms (including the Master Bath) were completely gutted, and the third bathroom was a 3/4 renovation. The designer Burak was excellent with helping me decide how each bathroom would be remodeled. I met with him in KBR's Fairfax showroom and we walked through the design and picked all the finishes and other materials. I had a pretty clear sense of what I wanted and Burak easily guided me in making the right decisions. The job was set to begin right when Virginia was facing closures and restrictions due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The KBR crew worked throughout this period ensuring that appropriate safety measures were taken. The project was lead by Omer, who kept me up to date on the status of the project as I had moved out of the house while the work was being done. Omer did a great job of managing all aspects of the project. I was able to move back into the house in three weeks and the project was completely finished after four weeks. This was several weeks ahead of the original contract plan. I highly recommend KBR."

"Great! He arrived on time, with the right amount of crew, tools and positive attitude! He was very experienced with Ikea cabinets and knew when we had purchased the wrong items. He also knew when to send me back to Ikea for different parts. Ikea made alot of mistakes and he knew that was common. He wrote down the numbers of the items i needed which was extremely helpful. He and his crew were fantastic and i would hire him again in the future. His prices were very reasonable and i appreciated that. I had two glass doors that were on back order so he said i could hold back $200 from his pay until they czme in. I called him on Sunday and told him i just picked them up. He told me they would be there on Monday morning to finish the job. Of course he arrived on time and he finished the job quickly. Of the 4 companies i hired to do various things in my kitchen his was the only one i didnt have issues with. I asked him to install the lights inside and underneath the cabinets and install the microwave. The lights were difficult but he worked hard until they were done. They make the whole kitchen shine! He was extremely reasonable with the microwave installation price. I asked him for several cards and already passed them out to people that wanted a new kitchen i told them he is the best installer i ever hired. He made this overwhelming project so much easier."

"Generally their were all very professional.  Proposal was clear. Michael was clear in various regulation.
They have do many additional works. I appreciate they pointed out various small things and fixed for $50. Painting for main bath room was $100. The vanity cabinet delivered from Lowe's  arrived damaged.  They fixed it.  I am still negotiating with Lowe's about missing parts.  So I think their charge was reasonable.
Only thing is I was not sure is that vanity, medicine cabinet, light were  not quite alined.  It is better to stay and check the  detail.

"We had a water leak in the hallway bathroom tub over the Christmas break.  We had thought about remodeling the bathrooms for a while so this gave us the push to get it done.
We used Angie's List and contacted four contractors, all had high ratings.  What sold us on going with Century Bathrooms was their ability to listen to our desires, making recommendations, and finally providing a very detailed proposal.  Daniel and Erika spent two hours answering all of our questions and showing us the tile, cabinets, faucets and other material we could use.  We knew exactly what we were getting and how much each item costs.  The other proposal we received made it hard to know what products they were planning on using and it was time consuming to keep asking for more details.  Century Bathroom's proposal wasn't the lowest or highest bid but we felt the most comfortable with it and it offered the best value.
The project started on the agreed upon date.  The workers were courteous, professional, and hard working. They showed up at 8 am ready to work.  They took care to cover the floors with drop cloths and to clean up at the end of the each day.  The bathrooms were gutted down to the studs on day one and the project moved smoothly. Kevin, the supervisor, was very good at asking questions to make sure they were placing the lights, towel bar, niches, etc., in the right place.  He also let us know every day what was planned for the next day and how the project was progressing.  The skill level of the workers is very high, we were very pleased with their workmanship.  Their attention to detail is evident, especially in their tile work.  The project ended on time and for the exact cost as projected in the proposal, plus and minus the items we changed during the construction.  There were no surprises, unlike other renovations we've had done on the house.
Overall, we are very happy we chose Century Bathrooms.  It's a great company from top to bottom.  We love the way our bathrooms turned out.  Highly recommended.

FAQs for cabinets repair projects in Sterling, VA

The timeframe for kitchen cabinet removal varies significantly based on quantity and installation complexity. Professional contractors typically complete standard kitchens within 4 to 8 hours, though complicated configurations involving plumbing or electrical components may extend to 1 to 2 days. Homeowners tackling this as a DIY project should allocate substantially more time—often 1 to 3 full days—as careful extraction requires methodical work to prevent property damage.

Kitchen cabinets can indeed be salvaged for reuse when removed carefully. Construction material significantly impacts success rates—hardwood cabinets generally survive extraction better than composite materials, which tend to chip or break. For optimal preservation, document the original layout, remove doors and hardware first, then methodically detach units from walls and adjacent cabinets. Professional removal significantly increases the likelihood of successful cabinet preservation.

Disposal options for kitchen cabinets depend largely on their condition and your local waste management regulations. Cabinets in reasonable condition might find new homes through donation centers or online marketplaces. For damaged units, professional waste removal services offer convenience, while dumpster rentals provide flexibility for larger projects. Some municipalities offer special collection services for bulky items, though advance scheduling is typically required.

Wall damage during cabinet removal represents a legitimate concern for many homeowners. The risk varies based on installation methods—cabinets attached directly to drywall without backing supports pose greater challenges than properly mounted units. Professional removal minimizes damage through specialized techniques and appropriate tools. Even with careful extraction, expect some minor wall repairs. Older installations and homes with plaster walls require particularly delicate handling to prevent significant damage.
