"Manny started each morning by walking me through the design and explaining the details. He was on time and focused on the details. He did a quality job. The home had been landscaped and he took care to minimize impact. My neighbors were Surprised that the yard did Not look like it had been disturbed when he finished."

"It went very well. Roberto's team came in, very respectful of our home, and work hard each day efficiently and completing their work in a week. The french drain going across the front of our house looks great! The foundation has been stabilized and cracks in our walls either gone or minimized. Roberto, Alan, and Jose worked extremely well together making huge accomplishments each day. They needed to repour the concrete slab on our front porch. The slab is beautiful! That was not luck. They waited long into the evening to ensure the slab was smooth and level! A dedication to perfection! When they were finished, the property was cleaned up, our side walk put back as it originally was (in some places better than it was)."

"They did an excellent job.  They were neat and clean.  No other company offers this specific fix.  They dug a trench at the foot of the wall inside the home (only a few inches wide) and were able to solve the issues we were having with the water leaking in.  I would highly recommend them!"

"They have done work for me continuously over the past year and a half. They do a nice job and they had good ideas for the layout of the landscaping. Nicholas Shipman, the owner, is who I worked with primary and he has a good eye for design. They do very good work and leave everything clean and tidy."

"I must admit, the work turned out beautifully. It was a pretty big job. I had (2) long retaining walls built of natural stone for a rustic look in the front yard (beautiful). And a retaining wall surrounding the entire back of the house with a large attached patio and walk way made of block. Our lot is pretty sloped, therefore we needed retaining walls to prevent soil erosion. It looks fantastic! They did a wonderful job. Mr. Garcia and his team were very professional, and his prices are very reasonable. I forgot to mention, he also cut down a very large oak tree while they were here. I would definitely recommend this company if you are looking for beautiful, professional landscape work around your house!"

"<p>Just wanted to drop a line or two and let you all know how impressed we were with both your workmen and their work.  In today's society, you just don't find companies that really do a great job, they usually just do enough to "get by".<br /> <br /><br /> <br />At times, without their knowledge, I was home and could hear some of the men talking.  Much to my surprise, their language and subject matter were always appropriate.  Don't find that much in the labor force today!  It spoke volumes to me.  When they did speak with us, they were always very kind and informative.<br /> <br /></p> <p>The work that was performed consisted of excavating the dirt to gain access to the footings on both sides of the foundation.  On the inside, they had to bust out the concrete floor and hand dig to the footing in order to install their brackets for the "unified lift system".  After installing the brackets, they attached special hydraulic equipment to the brackets which drove 3" diameter<br /> <br />pipes down to bedrock.  Next, they attached a hydraulic jacking system to each pier location.  Using their special vehicle with a unique hydraulic pumping system they attached hydraulic lines to each location and were able to do a controlled lift.  From what we understand, your company is one of the only ones that can perform this "unified lift".<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We were taking pictures daily and emailing them out to family and friends who could not believe their eyes!  They started out making our basement look like a bomb went off and when they were done it was swept and looking very nice!<br /> <br /><br /> <br />All this to say that the work done was absolutely astonishing!  We will highly recommend EHM to everyone that we hear may need this type of work completed.<br /> <br /><br /> <br />Thanks so much again.  We were dreading having this work completed, but you all made it so much nicer by your<br /> <br />expertise, kindness, and professionalism.</p> <p>Mike and Cheryl <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"Better than I had hoped. The project I am doing with my deck is mired in county code requirements. Freeland Engineering worked with me on what I needed to do to be code compliant, then produced the report required to appease the county. Working with them was a great experience and I will go to them anytime engineering expertise is required. You need to be aware that this company is extremely busy and will require you to plan ahead in order for them to schedule you in. However, the results are worth the wait."

"The job started under fair skys with excavation of the required area to build the wall.  Johnny Lester, the main man, was one earth moving master and although the soil removal was at times difficult to get the right position, Johhny handled it all with determination and accuracy.  The excavation took 2 complete days, and to be honest, I was actually surprised it was done that quickly. <br />      The wall building was carefully planned out before even attempting to lift a block into place.  Now, to be on the up and up, I had viewed some You Tube videos on retaining wall building because I wanted to know something about what my builder was going to try to sell me.  To his credit, his proposals agreed with what I had viewed, so I was fairly sure he knew what he was attempting to do. <br />     So, a trench was dug and filled with gravel, tamped down, and the 1st painstaking row of block laid down.  Never realized just how time consuming it is to get everything perfectly level side to side and front to back for a length of 59 feet with a 90 degree corner in the middle, but Johnny never hurried or lagged behind as the very 1st row is the most critical,,,,and he finished that 1st row in a single day, less in fact, because it had rained the night before and we had to wait a couple of hours for the area to dry out.  The remainder of the wall went up quickly at a pace of 2 to 3 courses a day plus the gravel drainage and packed dirt and reinforcing geogird every 2 courses.  This man worked hard, he worked harder than I ever thought possible. <br />      Overall, I was quoted 2 weeks from start to end, and if was 1 week and 6 days to be exact.  The wall came out just beautiful and I'd not find a worker more dedicated to the job.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Stevensburg, VA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
