"My roof had developed a small leak after the extreme downpours this summer. I was looking for a quality roofer to address the issue and found Dr. Roof after checking multiple sites and reading reviews. I contacted the company and scheduled an appointment with Jeff to perform a full roof inspection and address the leak. In addition to the leak, Jeff identified a few other small problem areas to include rotted trim around the chimney. Jeff wrote up a proposal on the spot. My only minor complaint would be that it took 3 weeks for an appointment to open up and to get the repair work scheduled, but I was willing to accept that as many of the better roofers are routinely backed up. The work crew showed up on the scheduled date and time. I was charged the amount originally quoted by Jeff. It's difficult to rate the quality of roofing repairs as most of the work isn't visible unless you're on the roof; but I can say that the repairs have held without any further leaks for the last 6 weeks to include making it through Hurricane Irma. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work and would recommend the company."

"We just used Bear Mountain Custom Painting to completely repaint the exterior of our house, including restaining our back deck and fixing wood rot issues on our cedar shingle siding. The work quality was exceptional from the entire team, starting with the sales coordinator (Zach). We had received several estimates from other companies and Bear Mountain was right in the middle, but we chose Bear Mountain because of their superlative reviews and the expertise that was immediately conveyed by Zach (who did a much more thorough survey of the house for wood rot issues, and also knew correctly that cedar siding needed to be stained rather than painted). Whereas other companies proposed just filling in wood rot with Bondo, the philosophy at Bear Mountain is that to make a durable repair, the rotten wood should be removed completely and replaced with rot-proof materials (PVC or pressure-treated wood). Having had previous bondo repairs of wood performed by the preceding homeowners fail, we were really impressed with the excellent carpentry work performed by Bear Mountain Custom Paiting. The work crew, led by Higi, was fantastic. Higi was a wonderful communicator, and any issues (like windows painted shut) were immediately rectified. Due to cold weather and rain, the crew couldn't work for several days, and this was always communicated to us in a timely fashion--they then would often bring a larger work crew the next day so as to finish the project on time. We were thrilled with the quality of the final work, as the house looks fantastic and we are confident that it will remain in excellent condition for years! They took care to clean up the site thoroughly at the end of the job, and took extra precautions to make sure that our exterior cameras were fully protected. This is an honest company of exceptional professionalism, and we would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others."

"I thought the two technicians were nice. However, if I had it to do over again, I would have asked them to show me the current condition of the chimney prior to the cleaning. That way I could have seen a comparison of before and after. Following the cleaning, they advised me I needed work done on the chimney because I had some missing mortar; however, I was not told just exactly what it would take for a fire to break out with missing mortar since my chimney is surrounded by a brick wall until it gets to the attic. Their estimate for doing repair work was several thousand dollars so I will check with other companies before I choose who should do that work. The main reason I was disappointed is that the price for the cleaning was about twice what it should have been compared to their competition and higher than a promotion they were currently running on their website when the work was done. And, the $319 price would be the same if I was on a regular followup schedule with them. For me that was a real turnoff."

"Excellent. Started on January 26th and expected to take 2+ days. Arrived at house at 7;30 am and began removing old shingles. New shingles and associated materials arrived by 8:00 am. On site was a Project Manager who has the GAF Factory-Certified Master Elite Roofing Certification, a Foreman and one roofing crew. The temperature was in the low 40s and around 10:00 am it began to drizzle. The Project Manager proceeded to bring in a second roofing crew to expedite the work. Under very adverse weather conditions on a very steep roof, work continued until 7:00 pm when it became too dark to safely work on the roof. By this time the new roof was approximately 98% complete. The next morning, one crew returned to complete the roof and thoroughly clean up the worksite. I found the workmanship and work ethic by everyone on site very impressive.
