"I would highly recommend Personal Touch Tile without reservation. Scott came in and corrected a very poorly installed shower job/bathroom remodel job of a previous contractor. He completely gutted what had just been installed, took away all the debris, re-built the shower floor and walls so they are waterproof and will drain properly, re-tiled the entire shower and floor to perfection. He was very knowledgeable and helpful to consult regarding the kind and quality of tile to use for the redo, as well as confirming that all the plumbing was good to go. He also provided quality contacts for other repair work we needed from the botched remodel. We are thankful to have found him and count him as a friend."

"Joey and Cathi were cooperative and helpful as to the timing of the work. They came by promptly after their return from Colorado, where they spend much of the year, and provided a detailed estimate within a couple of days. The work was scheduled around our needs. Joey and his son spent most of two days and part of a third on the project. The work was completed in excellent fashion and they cleaned up debris effectively. I anticipate that we will use their services again next year to repair cracks in our driveway. <br /> I should note that while the price seemed reasonable to me, I don't have any basis for comparison as this was the only company I called, in view of their strong recommendations on Angies List. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"It was time to remodel our 25-year old bathroom. We saw a high-end home in the Summit County Parade of Homes that had a beautiful bathroom that was covered floor to ceiling in honey onyx with a honey onyx vanity top. The vanity had lights below to show off the fabulous stone. That was the look we were after. <br /> Denver Marble helped us with the stone design and lighting options. They coordinated the purchase of the light panel, which came from Canada, and the cutting of the onyx slab. Rise, salesrep at Denver Marble, was terrific to work with. Once we found the slab we wanted, she helped us decide what part of the slab would best show off the stone. The LED backlight panel cost about $700 plus $300 for shipping, expensive but outstanding. It was critical to have the stone and light panel patch exactly as there were no second chances with this design. The mitered edge give the stone a wonderful finish. <br /> Rise kept us informed during the process and we are thrilled with the final installation. <br /> Denver Marble was competitively priced and provided excellent customer service. I will definitely use them for future jobs. <br />"

"We had a contractor try to finish our travertine tile floor and put too much enhancer/sealant on it then stripped it off with a tile stripper and then just walked away.  In the master bathroom, we had our tile cleaned and when they did some of the filler of the travertine came out so I had to get it repaired and refinished. Don gave us an estimate and did the work for us.   Don reassured us that he could get the tile to look like it was suppose to and he was RIGHT.  Don was prompt, called to let us know he was on his way, communicated with us very well, very respectful of our property, clean, and explained everything that needed to be done and how he was going to do it. Made sure that we approved the finish before he completed the job.  He also made sure we were happy when the work was completed.  It was nice to see a company respect the customer and provide excellent customer service.  He also left a cleaning supply so that we could keep our tile looking nice.  We would recommend him for all your stone and tile restoration."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Strasburg, CO

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
