"We called Brandon and he was out within the day with an estimate within the next day. The estimate to replace the whole screened porch, including most wooden elements, the screen door, and screening was $1717.00 (with some cost to remove bushes against the porch), and when we agreed to the charges he came out and did it with his crew in one relatively long day. We are pleased with the final product, and I would be inclined to hire Brandon for a very wide range of tasks beyond screen porches alone. He is a very nice guy, communicates quickly and clearly, and did good and rapid work."

"Fantastic! This small (father and son?) company was timely, thorough, and courteous. Due to job conflicts they had to do one half of our blinds on each of two dates, but they did a fantastic job and each time that they were here to take down or rehang the cleaned blinds they completed their work in ca 15 minutes! They took down the blinds, took them away and brought them back clean and dry within 48 hours (24 hours for one batch). They can only do plastic or metal blinds, not wood or fabric, but the completed jobs were done quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Three blinds were damaged by plants that had been allowed to grow through the blinds over the years and those stains could not be removed so we had them replaced by Indy Shades and while I cannot comment on relative pricing versus other suppliers, they did order and install the blinds quickly and without an install charge. Overall we were very happy with this company and how they went about doing their business and will use them again in the future."

"Through Angie's List, I discovered that Broad Ripple Locksmith also repaired exterior doors and installed new doors.  Since I had used Broad Ripple Locksmith, a family business, for 25 plus years and trusted this group, I did not need to explore the others on the list. I stopped by the office to make my appointment for the next day. Chris, one of the owners, did the repair to the door and informed me that I did not need a new door!!  He made sure that the door was working before leaving my house, thus, saving me many dollars. Ethical behavior in action! <br /> For each service visit to my home, I can expect outstanding service from Chris and his team. They look for ways to save money but do not sacrifice their strong commitment to providing outstanding service as the gold  operating standard.  If something needed further repair or additional inspection,  I can expect a quick and efficient response while being offered a solid explanation for the approach to the work. This group also is willing to work around my work schedule. If a repair does not need a service call, I am told what to do over the telephone. Furthermore, this group shows me in person how to solve minor challenges!  WOW!! These actions make my day and reaffirm my decision to use this company! <br /> Liz and Chris, owners, have created a team where professionalism, respectful behavior, and ethical practices are cornerstones of their work. Therefore, I can confidently recommend selection of this family business. They openly express gratitude for my business. I made the right decision of using ONLY Broad Ripple Locksmith as my locksmith.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The technician that came to our home was really nice and did a thorough job. He was there about 2 hours and did a few little things free of charge (tightening faucets that were loose, for example). We talked a lot about getting a water softener and about how different the water is in Indiana since we were both transplants to the area - he was very knowledgable and recommended we get a water softener but wasn't overly pushy about it. We'd ultimately like to get the water softener in the future, and will likely use this company to perform the installation. The only problem I had is that they charged an additional driving fee on top of the big deal that wasn't written in the fine print - about $60 I believe. I'd be less irritated by it had the woman who I scheduled with mentioned it beforehand."

"We were connected up with Advanced Home Solutions / Gil Ward via our real estate agent. When we bought the home the radon level was roughly at over 8 pCi/l, which is a fairly high level. Gil and his daughter install the systems, he's said he has put in something like 13,000 of these in 20 something years. His knowledge of both the systems, where they should go, and how to mitigate the issues, are excellent. He has a great bit of knowledge on local geology as well and how the radon forms and gets into the home. They were punctual, professional and easy to work with.  Our initial install took a few hours and after that install, we tested per protocol and the test came back still rather high, at 7.9 pCi/l.  I called Gil to discuss the results, he came out that same evening, we discussed options and decided on a new plan. Gil and his daughter came out a day or two later (whatever it was we agreed on), and added more segments to the system to fix the issue. All while our basement was being framed out, which added difficulty to the install. All of this extra work was done at zero additional cost.  After the new items were completed, the next test came in at 0.8 pCi/l. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them. Great work, pleasant transaction and we're pleased with the results. <br />"

"We used B&A for a major remodeling project. They proved capable of handling it all: carpet, electrical, painting, drywall, and more. James was very professional and he made the process simple. His pricing was fair and transparent for all of the services and I plan on using him again for any future projects."

"I have a rather rare roof style- flat, not low slope, flat.  It was pretty much wood decking covered with tar paper, then asphalt, then rock. I've come to learn that this is called built-up roof or BUR.  My house was built in the 60's when this was more common but these roofs are prone to leaking and I wanted to replace my roof with a membrane (TPO) roof. This really limited my options for contractors since only companies that do commercial roof (ie on walmarts) can install membrane roofs.  Most companies either wouldn't do a  residential roof cause they aren't worth their time or  would charge an astronomical price (~20k).   <br />    I got quotes from several companies, some of which didn't seem like they had ever installed a membrane roof and would only give me a 2 year warranty.  Since I don't plan to be in this house for more than 5 years, I really wanted a good, transferable warranty to make it easier to sell the house.  Duramax gave me a competitive quote and a 10 year warranty (much better than other companies) and it was clear that they had experience with this type of roof.  After receiving the quote and talking with an architect I decided the best best thing to do was to put a layer of tapered insulation under the membrane to add a little slope to the roof to prevent water pooling. Steve met me at my work to talk with me about how to do this, went back to my house to get measurements again was able to work with me on the price to include the insulation.  After I agreed to go with them, Steve met me at work again to go over the paperwork.  He saved me a lot of time and hassle by meeting me when/ where I wanted.  They started the work as soon as they could and the weather cooperated, which was about 2 weeks later. <br />    They showed up with a crew of 5-6 and Steve and the owner were either there or available to make sure things went smoothly.  Tearing off the old roof was harder than we expected.  There were several layers to the roof and they could have just put the new roof on top of this but I wanted them to get it down the the decking underneath to make sure it was solid.  They were happy to do whatever I wanted even if it meant and extra day of work.  It was clear that they were focused on keeping the customer happy.  There was  a couple  places where the decking was rotten and they replaced this without charging me more.  There were also a couple of issues when they were installing the insulation regarding the lip-edge around the roof (critical with a low-slope roof).  I called Steve and he was out there immediately to make sure everything was done right and I was happy.  He was very attentive to the customers needs. When it came time to install them membrane, they brought in their "commercial roof" guy that clearly had a lot of experience with this type of roof.  They did a very good job installing it and made sure I was happy with it.   In the end I fully expected the bill to be a little higher than the quote due to the unexpected issues they had to deal with but they didn't ask for a penny more. <br />   Overall I would highly recommend Duramax since they did quality work for a good price, treat their customers very well, and stand behind their work. <br />"
