"Three years ago Ross Services installed travertine tiles on my lanai/pool deck. They did an excellent job. Three years later, three tiles were damaged, one as a result of the repair of a pool leak. I called Brandon at Ross Services and explained the problem. Within a reasonable period of time Brandon got back to me and gave me a time that the repair would be done. The repair was completed by a gentleman name Brian, who did an excellent job. Much to my surprise there was no charge for this repair and service call. I would highly recommend Ross Services for anyone looking for tile/paver work and the many other services they provide."

"I had the best experience with Benchmark Painting. From the estimate through the job being completed, I can't say enough good things about them. Rodrigo, the estimator and project coordinator was great and the painters were fantastic. SO professional and meticulous. Francisco and his crew painted my home as if it were their own. I am THRILLED with the result and found not a flaw in the whole job. I am so impressed as are my neighbors. They also filled in ALL the cracks in my concrete blocks, and made needed repairs to the fascia boards. My house looks brand new. I would highly recommend them to anyone! I'm super happy. :-)))"

"My experience with Concrete Art & Decor was excellent from start to finish. Jesus and Miguel are professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Phone calls, texts and emails were all answered in a timely manner. All appointments were on time. Their crew was very efficient, courteous and very talented. I had my driveway and walkway stripped down to concrete and resurfaced with a stone pattern. The result is beautiful. Beyond my expectations."

"Project originally quoted in full (3BR, 2.5 bath home, 2,600 sq ft home) but decided to split & revisit master bath redesign at a later time. Once we gave the go-ahead we were impressed with the speed of the demo and tile floor replacement. It was hard to stay one step ahead of the decisions that needed to be made on all the detail. Especially liked Jess/Precision Contracting ability to provide a trailerable dumpster that only needed to be onsite for demo days (our neighbors appreciated it too). Seeing how this project was going with tile, plumbing, dry wall, crown molding (cabinetry on order), coordination (especially like that Jess availability/very prompt with text responses to questions) and momentum in general gave us the confidence to expand the work effort to include the master bathroom. Jess did a good job coordinating activities (sometimes we wanted something different but when you look back you can see the reason's for his decisions). The home we were remodeling was in a new geographic area to us so we came in not knowing anyone/trades sources local to do the work, which is where we used Angie's list. We did get several quotes/bids for various aspects of the work and ultimately chose Precision Contracting to coordinate most activities. In our opinion Jess has good trade sources working for him, examples include: (1)  kitchen cabinetry/soffit redesign and use of cabinetry crown molding impressive along with how granite bar reinforced for weight and design/appointment/use of molding & thoughts/recommendations in general; (2) master bath wall tile source challenged our decisions, ultimately we changed to their suggestion of height & where you stop wall tile (our walls were complex due to a very large glass block window in the middle of things) and we are very happy with that recommendation/decision; (3) tile source in general (wall/floor the same) were excellent in how they laid the tile, care with pattern, window and floor molding; (4) not one plumbing leak and every fixture was replaced, including spa shower and switch to instant hot water tank; (5) wood flooring replacement (when it came time to install, installer said "we cannot install the new floor on top of the old floor, the moisture content was too high, he said you might find someone to do it but not me, its not the right thing to do). Jess was more than fair when it came to adjustments that had to be made (up or down), allowed us to purchase our own plumbing fixtures as well as use our own electrician (his sources worked w/them well). We did have to make an adjustment for the wood flooring replacement as it was not part of the original plan as the protection in place actually damaged the floor finish and we ultimately decided to replace it. Since we were living elsewhere we were able to do this all concurrently, however, the dust created is something to be considered it you expect to live in the home at the same time the work is being done otherwise efforts/living can be coordinated."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Stuart, FL

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
