You can choose your colors: top and bottom. You do the measuring - they have instructions on how to do that - and it is very simple. Their order department was very accommodating when I called. "THEY LEFT TO BUY PARTS AND WATER DRIPPED THROUGH THE BASEMENT DRYWALL (NOTICED AFTER WORK WAS DONE). THEY ONLY PUT ONE COAT OF PAINT ON THE FRONT PORCH POSTS AND DIDN'T FINISH CARPENTRY WORK. "Project took a little longer than expected but the crews were working during the hottest weeks of the year. Met or exceeded expectations. The few issues with minor aesthetics were discussed with the crew and solutions they suggested worked out well and look good. Dennis was very knowledgeable and approachable. Could easily contact him via text to go over any issues. Overall good work. Would recommend to friends and family and definitely consider for any future home improvements"

"Chris was one of 4 companies that provided estimates. Although his bid wasn't the lowest, we liked his attitude and professionalism. He was completely upfront about what he could do and what to expect.
Although our deck is only 4 years old, we power-washed it ourselves last year and created a mess with splinters. One of the things we needed done was splinter-reduction. Chris advised us that all wood decks have splinters but that he would do what he could to reduce them. We are satisfied with what was done.
We first got our bid on May 1, 2014. Due to the crazy weather we had in the spring and early summer of 2014, the job was delayed until July 6, 2014. This was not an issue and we completely understood that the work couldn't be done unless there was a no-rain window.
The only issue we had with the job was that the stuff under our deck (we have an under-deck roof) wasn't covered and the muck from the power washing coated everything. I would've preferred to have been warned of this so I could've covered everything. Chris covered everything for the staining portion of the work, so that wasn't an issue.

"The entire experience with Josh Dunn and his team went extremely well. I had another contractor over to look at the space, and his estimate was 30k, he really had no good ideas for what to do with the originally awkward layout, and he advised that I should move my two kids (ages 1 and 4) out of the upstairs during the remodel. Josh walked in and immediately envisioned what to do with the space and came in with a lower estimate. He and Mike worked meticulously, controlled dust, and cleaned up every afternoon before they left. They did any and all sawing and tile-cutting outside. My baby took naps in the basement, but both my kids slept at night in their own beds in their rooms, and I never worried about dust. Josh and Mike are polite and professional, keep you informed of the process, and are also very good at what they do. No drywall seam is visible, no tile is crooked, and the paint job is extremely clean. Our remodel was extensive enough that we needed city (Richmond Heights) permits, and that required that separate electricians and plumbers do that work and that everything (electrical, plumbing, building) be inspected two times. All of that slowed things down, but Josh and Mike communicated so well and kept everything so neat that I had no complaints. They also subcontracted out to workers who were as nice and professional as they are. I will have Dunn Home Improvements do any home remodeling project, large or small, that arises in the future."
