"8/27/2021: Jeff and crew arrived early and had a new well pump installed within 3 hrs. They had to reschedule other appointments to fit our emergency repair in and we couldnt be happier with the service provided. Called Hardie Enterprises LLC Monday around noon. Told them our well pump had quit running.. They dropped everything and arrived early the next morning. Even though the pump they brought was the wrong one they were able to. get the right pump and complete the job by 11 am. I am impressed with the speed and efficiency of Jeff and his crew. I had plenty of questions and they answered everyone. I would highly recommend them for any well issues you have."

"I had to call American Mains And Drains due to an unexpected problem. I had a very high water bill this month and needed to figure out why. Matt from AMD came out and found the old galvanized waterline was completely rotted 2 feet deep under the ground. His crew came out and installed a new waterline from the water meter to the house. We have full pressure and everything is working again thank you, American Mains And Drains.!!"

"Right before Thanksgiving we detected a leak from our upstairs toilet between our floors; and our dishwasher died. I contacted AWP through their web site; the response and scheduling were prompt. Vlad showed up on time, listened, understood the issue, explained what he was going to do then carefully fixed it. Later that day, the Home Depot crew came in to install our new dishwasher and could not complete the job. Vlad was back later that day - on a Friday - and took charge. As calm and unflappable as the first time he took care of doing everything just right. I would definitely hire AWP again. Very few professionals I have dealt with project and deliver such peace of mind."

"He had to locate and inspect my system and upon inspection found an issue, immediately making me aware of the issue and gave a few options to go about repairing said issue. For fixing it, the repair was reasonable price and his professionalism is unmatched and He was very knowledgeable and explains things well so you know what’s going on and you’re up to speed through the process. On top of all that he answered all the questions had to ask and then some. Now we’re right as rain. Thank you!!"

"Got me taken care of a day earlier than originally booked. Technician was great and explained everything. Since it was an older faucet, he had to go and get the replacement from the warehouse. Clean up and all is well. Only thing was it is expensive to replace a $40 part!"

"Very happy with the entire experience. Got an estimate which was the lowest of the 4 plumbing companies that I contacted for the job. I felt the price was reasonable and pretty close to the price I thought it would cost. The job was done at the agreed upon estimate quote price, no additional cost after the fact. I was able to schedule the job next day. The Plumber was on time and only took him 1 1/2 hours to complete the job. Work was very well done and very happy with result. Cost - $1,339.00 + Tax."

"They showed up on time, they were able to do the work the same day for a competitive price. The visit was professional, great customer service and they used protective gear to help keep everyone safe and healthy. I will be recommending Ally Plumbing to my friends and family as well as use them for any future plumbing work."

FAQs for well pump repair or service projects in Tacoma, WA

A standard well inspection begins with a visual inspection of the pump, casing, storage tank, and wiring, followed by flow rate tests and laboratory-based water sampling. The goal is to confirm that every part meets safety standards and to identify any necessary repairs before they become expensive. An inspector will also test your water quality for substances such as volatile organic compounds and any local containment concerns.

Book a licensed, insured well specialist for your inspection. Many well‑pump contractors also hold inspection credentials. They’ll bring the right tools to assess the pump, wiring, and water quality, and provide you with a clear report on any necessary fixes. Before you hire, confirm their license, insurance, and recent customer reviews.

Plan on a full well inspection every year. You’ll also want one any time the cap comes off, after septic repairs, or if flooding occurs. Annual tests look for total and fecal coliform; every two years, the lab should screen for metals and nitrates, and every five years for VOCs and pesticides. If you’re buying a home with a private well, it’s essential to schedule a pre-purchase inspection.

With routine care, most wells supply clean water for up to 40 years. Lifespan depends on the type and how well you protect it. To help it reach the maximum lifespan, keep hazardous products far from the casing, ensure the cap stays sealed, schedule yearly inspections, and address problems as soon as they appear. Good habits keep the system healthy and the water safe.

The average cost of well repairs ranges from $100 to $2,800. Your final bill depends on which part—pump, pressure tank, casing, or piping—needs attention and the level of complexity involved in the repair. A thorough inspection identifies the problem, allowing you to budget accurately and avoid paying for unnecessary parts or services.
