"Just finished the replacement of 28 windows and one sliding door. All aspects of the project were above expectations from the initial consultation with Danny and quote to the final installation. The Marvin Infinity windows are first class and coupled with the expert installation have transformed the look of my 32 year old house. My installer Eddie was the hardest worker I have seen in a very long time. His expertise and attention to detail were outstanding. A significant rebuild was required for my new kitchen window and Eddie did a masterful job reconfiguring the area including a new roof in that area. The alcove in the living room with 6 windows presented challenges with all the exterior trim work required but came out perfectly. Weather presented a challenge on several rainy days but it hardly slowed him and his helper down. In today’s world it’s hard to find people like this that care about the quality of their work."

"Very hard to initially schedule a time or receive call backs but once the time was set up, everything went very well. They had limited product selection but we were able to do all windows but one and the coverings came in much ahead of schedule and installation was very quick and well done. Installation and cordless shades were no upcharge which kept the price down quite a bit."

"I need four 40 year old window screens that needed replacement. My remodel contractor recommended Screenman. It took them about two hours to manufacture the four new screens on site. They removed old screens and tie downs and cleaned up after themselves. I was amazed at the quality of the screens and the fit. I would recommend this company to anyone who has old, torn, or damaged screens. The price was reasonable as well. Great company."

"Great! The shed was easy to order and we talked through some options and my requirements over the phone. The installer was terrific. He was nice, prompt, and a great guy. Not much more to say other than at 10am there was nothing in my back yard and by that afternoon that was a new shed installed and ready to be filled with stuff. Quality and build seem pretty good and I am looking forward to using it for many, many years. <br />"

"Great marriage (literally) of both MaryAnn's skills in design and Jeremy's execution. MaryAnn was very attentive in the planning portion, visiting several times to give me ideas on how to renovate both bathrooms, and to guide me in options for my design choices for vanities, tubs, showers, etc. pointing out where I needed to spend more on quality and where I could save in other areas. MaryAnn was very respectful of my decision to spend some of my own time to do research and purchasing my own items. SPD was very flexible, since I delayed my project several times, they began work on June 2018 on the master bath and finished within reasonable time given the setbacks and additional scope I added along the way (requesting to close off an exterior window to extend the footprint of my bathroom to use a "hallway" area - hard to explain). After that was completed, they began working on my lower bathroom which is, at the time I'm writing this, at the midpoint of completion. All is looking good besides a few hiccups that were not not related to SPD. Additional points: RESPONSIVENESS: very good COST: Estimate was a fair range. Ended up going overbudget due to materials and additions to the original plan and "surprise" odd plumbing behind my walls that needed attention. INVOICING: I appreciate the weekly invoicing that is very transparent. QUALITY: I would score 97% perfect. If I'm being nitpicky, there were alignment issues with the shower fixtures but nothing that couldn't be adjusted later."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Tacoma, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
