"Called Eric, he called back within a couple of hours. Came over to my house that evening with a new hot water heater per my requested specs.. Got it installed in about 2 hours. He also rerouted my gas pipes to the new hot water heater to meet code. He also explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. I will call Gans Plumbing for any future plumbing needs."

"<p>Two hours ago we noticed water dripping in from a sealed pipe in the basement.  We called Don as he offers 24 hour service.  Instead of charging us emergency charges to come over and diagnose, he helped us over the phone.  It turns out we had a sticky valve on the sump pump pipe.  Once cleared the sump worked, water went away, all way well and no cost!!!!!!</p> <p>This is our first Angie list experience and wow what a great one.  We will use Don the net time.  Great ending to frustrating problem.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Everything was too notch. Clearly knew what had to be corrected, worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly. The new pipes are tight and leak free. Pricing better than I anticipated. Nice guy too. No issues with masking up either. Highly recommend."

"Very happy with JJ's.  Brian was quick, professional, and kept the size of the hole in the wall to a minimum (really great). I can't remember the last time I called any service for anything with a cost of only $100.  I also had them replace a cracked collar for the toilet and do a list of other minor things on 9/11/2014 and that was taken care of by Steve with equal professionalism and efficiency.  Will absolutely call JJ's for all future plumbing issues. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Thiensville, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
