"Pete Duda great job. He removed a large wood stove and large platform of brick it was sitting on. He installed an electric fireplace insert. He was very considerate in covering furniture and cleaning up all debris. I am enjoying my new fireplace. I highly recommend Pete . He is a professional and a true craftsman."

"5 Stars! My online request for a pool enclosure quote was answered the same day and a topline price offered from the answers to a couple questions, basic measurements and two photos. We chose Apple Enclosures from the 3 companies we asked to provide quotes to proceed with the project. Toby scheduled an onsite appointment to see the site and talk about options. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The quote was received the next day. It was very reasonably priced. He explained about the projects already in progress and when they expected to be able to start/finish keeping us informed along the way. The build crew (Billy, Gary, Scotty, and Aaron) were prompt, highly skilled and hard workers. My office overlooks the pool area, and I watched in interest as it started to take shape and observed the intricacies of our particular structure. It turned out better than we imagined, and the best part is that it has made our pool as maintenance free as it can be. We have not needed to do anything to it since it was cleaned after the build was completed. We could not be more thrilled. Thank you Apple Enclosures for an absolutely awesome job!!"

"Chuck Grimes remodeled our condo building in St. Simons, GA a few years ago, replacing all the exterior stucco, roof and windows. During the process we had to give him a door code to enter our condo which our second home, we don't use often. He swore to give it do no one and be onsite when anyone was in the home. He gave it out to all his subs and our house was ran sacked over period of 2 months. They stole TV's, electronics, beer, valuables, you name it! When we discovered this and called the police he admitted he gave our the code to the police, but suggested our Christian cleaning lady, who also had the code, of being the thief. Due to her having the code, the police would not press charges because they could not prove it. After this happened, we talked to some previous customers of his on Sea Island that had a similar experience with theft by his employees and or subs. Chuck was not on site very often but when he was he stayed in on of the other owners units which he treated like a construction office. After he left that owner had to totally remodel due to the way he abused the unit. The work preformed was fine but I the professionalism is not very good. I would ask for proof of insurance and if all his employees and subs are licensed and bonded. We had problems and delays with him finishing the final punch list and had to withhold money until he was finally done. I would not use again or recommend to anyone."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Thomaston, GA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
