"The basement waterproofing contractors we found in Southwest Michigan were expensive, and even among this group, Foundation Systems is on the pricey side. Everdry was even more expensive. However, Foundation Systems has done good work and have been available and friendly in response to our questions"

"It took a couple months to schedule the work but at each piece (estimate, electrical, excavation and installation) they called ahead, arrived on time, did all the work required with professionalism and courtesy. They even volunteered to clear the snow from my driveway by shovel when my machine wouldn't start. The use of plastic sheets and a high efficiency vacuum system connected to the jackhammer kept the dust down."

"The guys came when they said they would, did what they said they would do and charged me what the said they would charge me. It may sound stupid to state my review this way, but this type of service, unfortunately, isn't very common. The men who came to the house were very professional and I am very pleased with the result."

"We bought a lakehouse that had been vacant for many years. All that was salvagable was the concrete block walls and slab floor. After gutting the inside we called for estimates for roofing repairs.Dennis came out and after talking to him we decided his company was the one to do several projects on the list.We divided the work into phases that would allow me to do some of the work myself. They were agreeable with this and the work started on our first phase of sealing the outside before cold weather. This included major repairs and replacement of the roof, new windows and doors, blocking off and adding new spaces for doors and windows that were being moved in concrete block walls, adding a textured concrete seal on outside walls, new stamped sidewalk and patio with built in firepit, and new sptic system.Dennis also helped find and supervise electrician and well work. When we decided on a patio near the water  he came up with a plan for a natural rock seawall to keep shore erosion from future damage to the patio. They are great to work with accepting our ideas and adding many of thier own. They are very professional and I am definately calling them back when it's time for the next phases of my project. <br />"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"Better than expected. It's a very long driveway and had numerous cracks and some moss growth. This was the only company that suggested power washing to get it completely clear of moss before sealing and that would guarantee their work. They showed up on time, did very good work. There were a couple of minor cracks that they missed and they came right back to do them, no arguments. Very pleasant doing business with them."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Three Rivers, MI

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
