"I would never have chosen Finestra based on their advertising of 5 windows for $999 - too used car salesy.  But after interviewing many others and since they had high reviews from Angie, we called them.  They were half of our other estimates, so I was suspicious of the quality of windows.  Come to find out they were installing the very same brand that the competitors were installing.  They were great to work with.  Did what they said, when they said they would.  Installers were very friendly and professional.  Great job.

"This is a follow-up to my original review of February 9, 2017. A new sash was ordered to replace the one in which the glass cracked just after insertion of a window grille pin into the bottom of the sash. Four weeks later, on 3/9/17 a technician arrived and installed a new sash. All went well until he inserted a grille pin into the bottom of the sash -- the glass cracked, again. What are the chances that this could happen twice and with different technicians? Apologies were made and another sash was ordered. Five weeks later, on 4/17/17 the Andersen tech arrived with a new sash, installed it, and fingers crossed, the grill pin was successfully inserted. Yeah! My final assessment is that this small project to replace a bow window with three double-hung windows took far longer from start to finish (Nov. 2016 - Apr. 2017) than was reasonable, even without the grille pin mishaps. I do however, credit Andersen with persistence in bringing this project to satisfactory completion. Service can be a bit of a lengthy process, but they do follow through. I will say again, these replacement windows are beautifully made and energy-efficient. The technicians are professional, courteous and highly skilled."

"Art did a great job, he was able to get the silicone residue that was on my new vinyl replacement windows when they were installed off. I had tried several times and was unsuccessful. He was professional, neat, on time, and reasonably priced. My windows look fabulous!"

"The time from acceptance of the estimate to the window installation was roughly 3 weeks as was discussed with us.   Paul and his crew showed up on time, put down floor coverings where needed to protect the floors from traffic and cleaned up after themselves when finished.  There was no sign that they did work in the house except for the new windows.  The windows were caulked inside and out and trim added on the outside to blend the windows in with existing frame and siding.  The doors were a week later due to the longer lead time to get the front door.  Paul had no issues with any add-ons we ended up doing and priced them at a reasonable cost.  The work was well organized, complete and performed to our satisfaction.  I will not hesitate to use PK Windows again for work in my home.  Being a Master Carpenter and seeing the results of his work, I have no doubt that Paul could perform any construction job we might hire him for.

"We hired Lecla Home Improvements LLC for new roof, chimney cap, major water damaged bedroom repair ( ceiling , walls & carpet) and for replacement windows etc. Our home was badly damaged by the May 15th tornado to the roof, bedroom, kitchen and widows. We had other contractors bid for the job. When my wife & I met with Luis Clavijo, we felt he is the guy to do the job. Luis was punctual and was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about his field of work and in explaining to us in detail of the scope of the work involved, above all he is very humble. Since we have to work with the Insurance company, Luis prepared a very detail breakdown of his estimate to submit to the insurance company and met with the adjuster at the house to go over the breakdown to agree on the final price. Not only he and his team were punctual, he also has great communication and sense of urgency by returning phone calls or e-mails promptly. His team captain Henry was at site all the time during the roof installation and bedroom repairs and for other jobs. Our roof has multiple steep areas with unusual roof architecture with multiple peaks, valleys and dorm. His team was very efficient and has done the job in 2 days and we are very pleased with the outcome. When I asked Luis for some other small jobs that need to be done at the house, not related to damage by tornado, he was very accommodative and instructed Henry to take care of it and Henry did a great job. He did such a nice job on the roof and bedroom etc, we decided to change additional windows at our house that were not part of the tornado damage, totaling the no of replacement windows to be 20. The Job was done very well and wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. I would highly recommend Lecla Home Improvements LLC to any roof, home improvement or window replacement job."

They complete the job quickly and cleanly. They are flexible with scheduling as well as with working around other contractors. Steven, the owner, is easy to communicate with via email and text. "Daniel replaced a dozen wood casement windows for us with new vinyl clad ones. The windows he replaced were 20 year old ones from when the home addition was constructed. The other windows in the house were replaced about 15 years ago and Daniel was able to almost exactly match those. He provided the best price and his team was quick and efficient. They did a great job and the new windows are perfect."

Dave is an excellent sales manager, and he explained the Leaf X product so well. Also, special "shout out" to Joel who us a fabulous administrator. Highest recommendation to this team. We had replaced all our windows approximately 12 years ago, but seemed to forget the one in our utility room. It was at the point of falling out. Justin initially came to inspect the job and recommended a window replacement which we used. He ordered it and contacted us when it came in to arrange an installation date. He also replaced our leaky kitchen faucet with one we had purchased.

"Steve Pickering of Pickering Construction did an excellent job. First, he was timely, and was able to start the job right away, within a week or so of submitting his bid. He and his crew did a good job painting the dining room and living room different colors, ceilings, and trim around the windows. He also rebuilt the stairway to the basement so that it was extra sturdy and finished the drywall in that area, which had never been finished when the house was originally built. Finally he did a perfectly new threshold saddle for one that had rotted and needed replacement. What impressed me was Steve's follow-up, and this is the reason I am rating him highly. A few tiny holes were left in the painting area, holes that had been used for artwork and so on. But we weren't necessarily hanging up the artwork again. Also, one stairwell plank had a knot in it, which created a tiny hole through the wood, an imperfect plank that was already cracking. When I pointed out these small problems to Steve, he went back and fixed all of them perfectly: he filled up the small holes in the wall for the artwork, repainted those holes, installed a new plank, and cleaned up a bit more. So I think the follow-up was excellent. I didn't mind paying for a high-quality job, but I also wanted the job done right. Nothing extra, just what I had paid for. That's exactly what I got from Steve. I am happy with his work and would recommend him highly."
