"I was able to research and order the part needed for my refrigerator repair and perform the repair myself. Parts were reasonable priced and delivered within 4 days of ordering. I saved $$hundreds by doing the repair myself. No need to replace the fridge."

"Considering the poor customer service, late or no call backs, I often encounter in Idaho Falls, this company was EXCEPTIONAL! He not only returned my message very quickly, but really made an impression as he fit us in, coming over after hours and followed up with communication very well. <br /> His prices were honest (I did my own follow up on the window pricing), as in comparison to the other window contractor (who jacked the same price up over 1/3! <br /> His work was excellent and timely, but topped off with his exceptional communication and customer service! <br />"

"Decided on another vendor that I have worked with in the past. I was impressed with Wasatch Shutter Design and would have used them had I not already had experience with the other vendor."

"The job was huge at my newly bought home. The 2 men, Tory and Dan worked harder than anyone could ask for. They are very punctual and always let me know the schedule. They are very honest. <br /> I can't say enough of how they took so much stress off of my shoulders as they were able to tackle any problem that arose from a renovation of the complete home. There were many problems from previous owners who did DIY things that were very bad. <br /> They men were always polite and always asked me what I wanted before doing a task or making changes. <br /> They do very good work. They are very clean and neat. <br /> Next time I need a carpenter team I will be calling Bannock Carpentry. They are the best."

"They replaced the lights okay but lost original tire knob and replaced it with another one that did not match the other three tires. They took three hours just to do a simple job and they told me it would be finished in 45 minutes. If I knew it was going to take that long, I would have left the car there and come back for it later. Overall work done was okay but definitely don't expect them to hurry. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Troy, ID

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
