"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"I was so anxious to work with this company, especially during this 2020 pandemic!! BUT Vince was GREAT!! He got everything started right away, did all the work with the insurance company, supervised the work, his team did a great job cleaning up after themselves, they were done with the tear out and mold cleanup in 24 hours, AND Vince made sure we had a contractor lined up to remodel the kitchen after his part was done. My husband and I were devastated when we found out there had been a slow leak in the wall for year and thought it was going to be a nightmare to repair-but Iowa Mold Removal took care of everything! I highly recommend!!"

"It went pretty well. The 2 employees were friendly, and worked efficiently. The only problem was an old stain surfaced that hadn't been previously visible. (It had something to do with the type of chemical used by the previous owners to clean.) I called and the workers came back and worked on the spot. Unfortunately, it returned after the carpet dried. I emailed and 1 worker came back to try again. The spot is much lighter, but not gone. I'm sick of dealing with it at this point, and since we'll eventually replace the carpet with hardwood, I haven't had them come back to try again. (Which they offered to do.) The rest of the carpeting looks very good."

"The gentleman arrived on time, was very friendly, and did a thorough job in a reasonable amount of time.  Our carpet is 12 years old and has dog urine stains that don't come out, but everything else did.  I have used them at least 5 times and have always been happy with the results. <br />"

"<p>ServiceMaster Clean were great and were prompt and they did a good job, reasonable price. I followed the price that they charged the insurance company, it seemed reasonable, but I don't remember what it was. They were reputable. They did a good work on time. They completed the job within the schedule that they gave me ahead of time.</p>"

"Gene listened to what I needed to have done, and rather than take my money and attempt to do it himself, he referred me to someone else who would be better suited for the job. Couldn't ask for a more professional response."

"We had mold on the ceiling of our kitchen due to a previously leaky toilet. Because we have a newborn and toddler in the house, we were concerned with the type of mold that it was and if we needed to remediate ASAP. David was great...he walked through the possibilities and conducted an air quality test to determine the type of mold we were dealing with. He called immediately with the results once they were returned. Note: he will NOT remediate but merely assess if mold is present and the type of mold if it's there. We likely could have conducted the test ourselves since we knew there was mold, but he did provide peace of mind. <br />"

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Truro, IA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
