"It went great! I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Their sales person( Mr. Williams), met me at the house and showed me several ways to keep the cost down. I had decided on granite counter tops for durability and maintenance but knew very little about the product. Mr. Williams took me to the show room that they use and answered all my questions about the different grades of granite offered. We found a color that blended well with my flooring. I ordered  the cabinets  and was not disappointed, and they arrived on schedule. The installation of the cabinets and counter tops went off without a hitch. "Painters arrived exactly on time and accomplished all tasks the same day. The manually stripped the deck and applied two coats of stain. They carefully cleaned and then painted the foundation concrete as it had got dirty over the years. They also scraped, caulked and painted a large bump-out window off our living room.

"Two nice men showed up on time at 10:30 am. While most of the family room furniture were already in the living room, the 2 men carried 3 heavy items to the living room from the family room. Then they removed and disposed both the old carpet and pad from the family room. One man did most of the installing in the family room while the other man did the stretching the old carpet in an upstairs bedroom as agreed at the time of my purchase which was an extra $50.00. Cleaning up and vacuuming in the 19x12 family room were included so the entire installation job took only 1 1/2 hours. While I am still OK with the new carpeting, I did not expect to see the footprints, shadows, and vacuum marks as my old carpeting doesn't show those marks. However, the new carpeting does feel soft, nice and comfortable, and my husband said that he found a lot easier to move the heavy leather sofa on the new carpeting. Guess I would need to look for a carpet rake to eliminate those marks. As for the stretching in an upstairs bedroom, to my dismay, a part of the bump on the old carpeting came up again a week later. The salesperson had told me that the stretching was to be closer to the wall where there was a door while the stretching guy said it was to be the opposite wall with no door. Did not want to mess up the line between the hallway and the bedroom. Have not yet called the store to request another stretching in that bedroom.

"The crew arrived as scheduled and worked quickly to clean the items in the basement, as well as the basement walls, floor, and ceiling/joists. The only minor issue was the pick-up of the air scrubbers after they had run for 3 days, but this was also finally resolved without an issue."

Sheri Lane was wonderful to place a claim for us, however the Friday scheduled service was just not responsive enough for us and we had the work done for $399.00. I'm sending in a paid invoice for reimbursement consideration. As a Homeowner, we just needed to minimize secondary damage that we realize is not covered under the home warranty.
