"Ron, the company president, came out to give me an estimate. He was very upfront and thorough, and I felt comfortable with what he told me. He seemed a little taken aback when I asked for a written contract, but wrote one up on the spot anyway. They called to follow up a week later, and I placed my order, along with the required $500 deposit. On installation day, the installers showed up on time. However, they didn't seem to speak much English, and I had to inform them they were looking at the wrong windows. With that cleared up, they set to work - without much of a break - for about 6 hours, installing the new glass blocks. I was impressed by their work ethic, but when they had questions the language barrier seemed pretty steep. The previous owner had run some wires through the old window sills, wires we had since disconnected. The installers, unfortunately, didn't ask before running them through the mortar. I noticed before the mortar dried, and was able to take the wires out and re-pack the mortar. Overall, they did a nice job, and the windows seem very securely installed."

After a branch shattered my ten-year-old skylight, Chris and Andy did a superb job replacing the sash and removing the glass. They did an incredible job as well with clean up and were all around great guys. Anyone thinking of installing a skylight or needing a repair should use this company!"

"Pedro arrived when scheduled. Gave us estimate on glass replacement. He said it would take two weeks for the glass replacements to be made. Two weeks passed and he called to setup an installation appointment. He arrived with a helper. In an hours time he had the glass replaced in the tops of four different window. He is very professional, careful, and neat. The windows he repaired look as good as when they came out of the factory. I would definitely use Pedro again. <br />"

"I ordered 4 double hung windows to replace 2 bay windows in my house. The windows were made as ordered and fit perfectly. A price was agreed upon when the order was placed and I put down half as the deposit. Four weeks later when I picked up the windows, I was told there was a slight difference in the price.... to my surprise, the price was actually lowered. It turned out a lower tax rate was approved since the order was placed, I would never of known about it if they hadn't lowered my bill. I find this honesty very refreshing in today's world and would definitely use GILD-N-SON again. <br />"

"The job proceeded very well overall. Dennis and his team were very professional and thorough. I have an 80-year-old house where no repair/replace/upgrade job ever goes quite as planned and often it's not clear just how extensive the repairs need to be until the works gets started and the old fixtures come out. Dennis and his crew understood that they were working on an old house and adapted very well to the extra work required to finish the job the right way and with superior craftsmanship. The new doors and windows look outstanding and are a big improvement over what I used to have."

On the day of the appointment, someone called to say the repairman was on his way. He shows up and takes measurements. He accepts a check for $100 down payment. Richie calls later to say they prefer cash or cc, which is fine. Again, two days later,someone calls to say the repairman is on his way. Half hour later he shows up and spends a half hour replacing the window. He also took away the old glass. Thanks, All About Glass, for the pleasant expenence. I would use them again"
