"I initially thought I needed all my water pipes replaced but Mark and Clint both assured me that my problems didn’t sounds that severe. The plumber Joe was polite and professional and stayed until the job was done even though it took twice as long as expected due to the stubborn conditions. He even looked over all the main water lines and pointed out a few other things that would eventually need replaced to help me prioritize for future projects."

"Mike called on Monday morning said he could do it sooner and came right over.  He had to drill out a section under my sink to remove the pipe and the corresponding pipe downstairs.  Quite a section.  He ran out and bought the new pipe and installed it and was gone in a very few hours.  He kept me posted as to what he was doing and I have nothing but nice things to say.  Linda and her Dad have been my plumbers for about 30 years so I only have good things to say about them.  THEY TAKE CARE OF ME!! <br />"

"There was a guy here for about 10 days re-piping my house.  They managed to not rip through my floors or ceilings to get the job done, I was impressed.  Patrick, the owner, stopped by a few times also to make sure the work was being completed.  I highly recommend them."

"The crew of 3 showed up to work at 8 as promised. We over viewed the work we had discussed on his estimate appointment. <br /> It took them roughly 5 hours from start to finish. Overall they installed supply lines for a bathroom: Sink, Toilet and built the supply for the shower. We had the rough in drains/vents already. They installed supply lines for a wet bar sink and drain/vent just outside the bathroom area. <br /> He did all of the wet wall work first and got the area ready before shutting off the water. The supply to our house was only off for a total of about 30 minutes. <br /> He was very courteous answered all of my questions. When he was finished he walked my wife through all the work that they had done as well as took some pictures and sent them to me. <br /> All copper piping was used and although I haven't been able to test the lines yet (due to construction not being finished) it is not leaking and everything appears in order. <br />"

"Overall the job went well. Lanz worked well with us and the General Contractor (TimberCreek Developers). <br /> <br /> Total payment amount above is approximate, Lanz was paid by the General Contractor. <br /> <br /> All HVAC work was well done, and I would definitely use Lanz for Heating and Air-conditioning work in the future. <br /> <br /> The plumbing work had one snag, but was satisfactorily completed on time. The 5 foot shower unit was installed with a hole in the base portion of the two-piece unit. Lanz initially wanted to have the hole repaired, since the unit was installed, however we wanted a new shower installed and an new one was installed. Unfortunately the new shower is not as deep as the original, and had a right-hand drain instead of a center drain like the original shower, which required concrete removal and re-plumbing of the shower waste line. The bath waste lines were and quot;roughed-inand quot; by the original builder. <br /> <br /> When Lanz came back to do work, they seemed to usually send a different crew, we would have liked to have had only one crew assigned to the plumbing portion of our job. <br /> <br />"

"Called for an estimate for all new plumbing. they made appointment with me for next day and gave me an estimate that was the final price. Very prompt. They set up a date and time that worked with my schedule and did all plumbing in one day. They work really fast. Moved gas line the following day. They also clean up their mess. <br /> I will definitley use them again. Their whole set up from start to finish is very professional. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Union-hill, IL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
