"Keystone Custom Decks was absolutely amazing! This summer we took on a very large outdoor project which included an inground gunite pool, paver pool deck, fire pit, paver patio with an outdoor kitchen and bar, and a 20 x 20 covered deck with a fireplace. We used 3 separate contractors for each phase of our project. Despite a minor setback in scheduling due to Covid, Keystone understood the magnitude of our project and how one phase affected the other. "Worked primarily with Chip, John and Brian. We really wanted to get rid of our drop ceiling and the dining room and take out the wall between it and the kitchen to give us an open floor plan. We live in a house build in the 1920's so I was worried what we would find when we started opening things up. The Home Improvement Coach spent a lot of time with me prior to the project starting and because of their experience working in older homes, made me feel comfortable that if anything did come up, they could handle it. They did a fantastic job and completed the project on time and on budget. My biggest things when evaluating contractors are quality of work and communication. The Home Improvement Coach excels at both. I was happily surprised during the project at their willingness to clean up thoroughly at the end of every day. Even though they were working at the house for a couple weeks, they understood that we still had to live there and did everything they could to allow us to be comfortable in the evenings. Every time we had questions or concerns, Chip and team were quick and happy to respond. We made some changes during the project and to no surprise, they were happy to accommodate. As removal of the stone facia occurred, Chris's team quickly realized that the interior structure of the stair case had also severely degraded also. Chris immediately communicated the findings and StoneCraft's plan to ensure 100% satisfaction with the integrity and appearance of their work. There would be an upcharge to the unforeseen work, but this was to be expected considering the extra hours of labor and materials. From the time of initial quote, StoneCraft followed through on their word and commitment to quality of work, not to mention that the work was started and completed ahead of schedule. Stan was extremely professional, always makes himself available to bounce ideas off of, definitely a perfectionist, and takes pride in his work. We were very impressed with his attention to detail. We were also impressed how after every day of work his team cleaned up the project site before they left for the day. They always made sure it was a safe environment in case our 5yo or dog happened to walk in during the evening when they weren't there.
