"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"I had used Lone Star at my dad's house last year and they did such a fantastic job there I decided to have all of the screens replaced at my own home.  A few years ago me and my son built our own solar screens and let me tell you, it is no fun and not very easy.  Lone Star's screens are top quality!  Measurements are taken at the time of estimate so they show up ready to rock 'n roll.  It is an extra charge for window washing, but so worth every cent!  They are nice, polite and professional and I would recommend them to anyone in need of solar screens, and who doesn't in the Texas summers?

"I read many reviews on Angies List and contacted several painting companies with my needs.  Carlos from Allstar Painting was one of three responses I received that could do the work requested.  Based on reviews and his responsiveness, I gave him the job immediately upon receiving his bid.  This was on a Thursday.  He said he could start on Tuesday and the job would take two days.  I wanted Crown molding in the bathroom and together we contacted a colleague of his to come by and look at the job and give me a bid on the work.  The two got together and worked it out so the job could still be done on the two days. Carlos arrived on time both days, moved the furniture to put down a carpet of paper so that anything tracked in would be on the paper. He removed the bathroom door, blinds, and proceeded to tape, float and texture the walls.  Some caulking was required and he also did that.
We decided on a paint color together.  He actually changed my mind about the color I had selected.  The second day he arrived on time and got started on painting the ceiling before the trim man arrived.  When he did arrive, the two of them worked together in harmony to get the the trim and crown molding put up. After the trim man left, Carlos finished up the job. He pulled up the 'carpet of paper', cleaned up the bathroom, and left things very neat.  I couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism and a job well done.  I definitely recommend him highly if you have painting needs.  He is a really nice man, too!

"My husband and I noticed that there was water coming out the side of the kitchen cabinet, and it was leaking into our living room area, which is adjacent to the kitchen, causing a puddle in our carpet. We called another contractor, who could not locate the source of the leak, and who, in my opinion, was too lazy to investigate it enough to actually find the problem. We thought the source of the leak was coming from the dishwasher, so we replaced it. The leak continued. We then thought the source of the leak was the refrigerator, so we replaced that, as well. When that did not solve the problem, I called MLS late that night, and we made an appointment for the next day. The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and was pleasant and polite. He began investigating the leak, and discovered that the source was a pipe in the wall that was behind the kitchen sink! They had to cut into the drywall, and as we moved the furniture out of the way, we discovered that the water had leaked into the carpet about a foot from the wall, and discovered that the bottom of my large bookshelf was completely rotted, as well as my entertainment center, where my TV was located. The technician cut into the wall, made the repair, replaced the drywall, and even hooked up the water line to my new refrigerator, so that I could be able to use the water and ice dispenser. He was also kind enough to install the license plates on my new vehicle for me, as well as the car seat base for my grandson! Because of their commitment to quality work, I now have peace of mind that the leak is fixed, which is priceless to me. They did all this for me in a timely fashion, and the technician stayed until the job was completed, which was well past 10 pm, and never once complained about anything. My husband and I were so impressed with his professionalism and quality of work, we have already recommended MLS to a friend of mine, and would recommend them to anyone that asks.
