"Never used Angie's List before, and Kibuk Tile & Stone did a great job installing the shower pan, water proofing the area and installing the tile. They worked hard and completed the job within the promised time frame."

"We recently (July 2019) had Sunset Granite in Hillsboro, OR remove our old laminate countertops and install new Quartz countertops. We are very pleased with the service we received, the quality of the products, the installation, and even more importantly the price. Sunset Granite was $3,000 cheaper than several other bids doing the same exact job. I assume this is partly because they do all the cutting and polishing of the stone on site at the business. Eliminating the middle man. Andy the owner was very professional, helping me choose what to purchase and yet saving me money. His installers Adan, Ezequiel and Jose were friendly and did a excellent job ripping out the old counter tops and installing the new countertops. Great skilled employee's. I would recommend this business if you need new Quartz or Granite Countertops installed."

"The tile job went great. We actually trusted his judgement on which tiles to place where. The tiles were a stone type tile that each piece was different in color. He did a great job on picking out which ones to use and how to lay them out. I also had all new base board installed in our house. It came out looking very nice and professional. I would defiantly use them again."

"We have used this company 5 times for cleaning gutters and applying moss preventative on our 2 story house and garage. They have always done a great job and are very pleasant to interact with. Their clean-up is so good that they often leave the area around the house looking better than when they arrived!"

"It's always great working with Steve. He helped & advised me again to get the right materials for what I wanted done in my small kitchen, scheduled the job quickly & around my schedule, and kept the job within a budget I could work with.
His sub-contractor (Romeo?) was right on time, efficient, friendly, and VERY patient with me when I couldn't decide how I wanted the side walls to look.  I didn't want the whole 4" height along the sides, so Romeo pulled the stones off the backing and manually placed each stone on a slope (and kept rearranging) until I was happy with the look on both edges.  He's a true artist. and he didn't finish until HE was happy with it, either!  In places where the grouting was a little thick on the top,  he patiently leveled off every spot.  It's not easy when the edge isn't level to start with due to the stones!  I absolutely LOVE my backsplash.
Only 1 problem arose: there was a miscalculation somewhere when ordering and we were short 2 panels.  I made a quick call to Steve, and he made immediate arrangements for Romeo to pick up 2 more of the panels from their source to complete the job, at no additional cost to me.  I was extremely happy to see the problem resolved immediately & completely.
This is the 2nd time I've used Avenues Outlet, and I've been happy both times with the work done.  I'm usually nervous with companies that use sub-contractors, but both times I've been proven wrong and have been extremely happy with the work and professionalism of the crew.   I most definitely will use Avenues Outlet again.

"Honestly, the sales process was terrible. Nothing is automated via spreadsheets, email is dial up (and only accessible from home), changes are the same pages with white out and rewritten figures. I don't have a real high degree of confidence in their communication, and at times our salesperson got snippy (when we were trying to figure out our choices and budget) and said that "I should be charging you a consulting fee for my design time". HUH? Not professional in my opinion. But WOW, their work is amazing. If you can get past the sales cycle, it is well worth it. Kerry, the guy who does the tile work, is funny, engaging, and the quality of his work is excellent. He's always on time, always protects your house from debris (the best that you can with all that dust) by laying down plastic in the traffic areas, and is always willing to talk about what is happening. I swore after this sales cycle I'd never hire them again, but when my wife and I look at our bathroom, we love it!"

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Vancouver, WA

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
