"I had a great experience with Lifetime Windows and Doors. I worked with Matt to purchase and install a new front door. I love my door and the accent glass, price was as expected, installation was smooth, good communication, and everyone is so nice. I would work with Lifetime again for future needs."

"Josh was fantastic to work with. Friendly, economical, timely, clean and just a genuine pleasure to deal with. From start to finish he kept us informed of the status of our window order from the factory and was able to install the windows and the new man door in the garage is only two days. I would highly recommend Absolute Windows & Doors."

"Project went very smoothly from the estimator Josh providing information on total cost, rebates available, and window schematics. The installation crew was punctual, polite, very efficient, and cleaned up the work site each day. Any questions I had were answered very promptly and thoroughly. Very pleased with the much improved appearance and efficiency of my 9 new Milgard vinyl windows."

"Brandon was first contacted after reading the Angie's list review on his services. He took my call promptly and worked up a bid as we spoke. His knowledge of the 3M film options is very impressive. We scheduled an installation and it went very well. Brandon consulted further when he saw the physical area to be covered and steered us into a more effective option of 3M film that turned out to have better characteristics for our needs and turned out to be less expensive as well. Brandon is the owner of the company and he really cars about customer service and professional installation. I highly recommend him and will continue to do so to my friends."

"Lu was very professional and answered all of my questions.  For the issues on my window, she recommend that I would be less expensive to just replace the insulated gas unit instead of replacing the entire window.  She put my interests above her own need to make money.   <br /> Very professional.  I would use them in a heart beat if I needed to buy new windows. <br /> <br />"

"Patty Spencer and her assistant did an excellent job. I had a broken sash cord on one double-hung window in a bedroom I was repainting. I also had a broken sash cord on one double-hung window in my living room. I called Patty who came out, inspected the two windows and wrote me an estimate that came in right around the final price. On the bedroom window she and her assistant were able to repair both sash cords and both sections of the window open smoothly. On the living room window, which is no longer square due to settling, she was not able to repair the sash cords because, at some point the past, foam insulation was sprayed inside the wall which hardened and blocked the channel in which the weights and sash cords normally move. It would have been impossible to repair without removing exterior siding. Patty called me to explain the situation and recommended not going to the extra effort and expense of removing the siding, which I agreed with. I can still open and close that window (which I rarely open) but it requires some extra care as there are no longer any counterweights guiding either the top or bottom panes. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work and Patty's professionalism. I would call on her again if I needed her services."

"Steve gave me a rough cost estimate by phone.  He came on time to remove the leaking window, make a pattern from it, and temporarily replace it.  He installed the new low-E double pane window a week later.  It perfectly matches the other two bay window panes.  I am extremely pleased with Steve's knowledge and craftsmanship.  I will definitely hire him to replace any other windows that lose their seals. <br />"

"Excellent service and went above and beyond to assist us with our project. We had an area near our patio door that we needed to replace our subflooring prior to them installing our new door. We did the work and then had the opening covered with plastic. I contacted Andrew Cantu to see if it might be possible to get the door installed a bit earlier then the rest of the windows. They were extremely helpful and came out a day earlier than scheduled and did the patio door. Our windows look wonderful and the difference it makes in the appearance of our home is amazing. Their professional installation really finished the job with quality and an excellent look. We could not have asked for a better company or people to work with. Thank you, Jones Windows and Doors!"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Vancouver, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
