"From start to finish, my experience with Metropolitan Window company was top notch!! I began my search for windows in early September and compared various window companies in the Pittsburgh area. Upon my entering the showroom on Route 51, I was greeted warmly by John Schmotzer. John was so nice to me. He went over all of the features of the windows and John even answered all of my dumb questions. Then I met Maggie. What a nice lady....Maggie, John and I chatted after John did his demonstration and she setup my appointment for John to come to my house. John came to my house a couple days later and measured for my windows. Once again, what a great experience. I think they had me sold in the showroom but again, John and I chatted and needless to say, I signed the contract that night and my windows were ordered. My windows were installed today. Again, spectacular experience....Paul and Brian arrived as expected a little after 8 a.m. Paul exclaimed to me that I had the best in Brian. Well, that was absolutely true but Paul was great too!! They came in, laid out drop clothes all over my house. They then went to work and by 2 p.m. were out the door with my beautiful new windows installed to perfection and my house looking like they were never there. I cannot say enough about how much I loved dealing with Metropolitan Window Company. I did my homework when looking at windows but honestly, there was no other choice but Metropolitan. Their competitors paled in comparison."

"I researched and met with representatives from six reputable (Angie's List A rated) companies in the Pittsburgh area for replacement window installation for my older home. Advanced Window and Door staff was so wonderful to work with from the first phone call. When I said I wanted wood interior/aluminum exterior, they didn't try to sell me something else (like most of the other companies I had contacted). It was clear right away that they weren't going to give me the hard sell...they genuinely wanted to help me find the right windows for my home. <br />  Jim, the sales rep, was personable, professional, and knowledgeable...and whatever he didn't know the answer to he found out and got back to me right away.  He worked with me on getting just what I wanted (a somewhat unusual but wonderful push out style casement window with retractable screens), at a price which fit our budget. Both he and Steve, the owner, met with me at their showroom to discuss what else I required in a window (easy cleaning, good glass to frame ratio, materials, color options, etc) and I decided to go with Marvin's Ultimate line. Anderson's Eagle line was a close second but the color we wanted wasn't available. <br />  It was the craftsmanship and pride in his work that Steve had displayed in the showroom which sold me on Advanced Window and Door, regardless of the window manufacturer, however. <br /> Steve, James, and Keith all worked so carefully at removing our old windows and salvaging what they could (some stained glass panels we wanted to keep). They were very accommodating with my schedule and were able to work for a week, work another job while my family came to visit, then follow up and finish shortly after that. They were always on time, really really courteous, and very clean (AND didn't smoke or swear...nice when you have kids around!). <br /> With a job this size and a house this old, not surprisingly, there were a couple of "snaffus". Steve and Jim were "on it" and made sure any situation was remedied. James even came through with impromptu masonry when necessary. <br /> They've followed up with me since they've finished, just to check in, and assured me that I can call at any time if there is any window issue at all.  <br /> From start to finish, the guys at Advanced Window and Door took pride in their work. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in replacement window installation. And their price was extremely competitive. They should definitely be on anyone's "A" list when it comes to the task of researching window installers. <br />"
