Small jobs welcome

"Juan and his crew did an amazing job! From start to finish I had no problems! Juan was professional, on time, honest, and extremely knowledgeable! Juan helped with great suggestions after describing my idea to him during the free estimate. He communicated when the rain storms kept delaying my project and didn't try to start the job knowing a bad storm was on the way. He cares more about the final outcome than just getting the job done. Juan and his crew are meticulous! They paid attention to every detail. He pitched my driveway just right! No more puddles and I absolutely love the final outcome! I will definitely use JM Concrete LLC for another project and highly recommend them!"

"They did an excellent job replacing our old front steps with new beautiful concrete. It looks wonderful and we are so happy with how it turned out. They were efficient and polite, as well as very good at communicating to set up the date and time. I would recommend them to anyone looking for concrete help!"

"From the estimate visit to the completion of the leveling of my sunken front house steps and concrete walk Ogburn team were GREAT! I highly recommend this team to fix your concrete leveling challenges. Worth every penny...they costed more, but I could not picked a better company to meet my needs. The estimator truly listened to me and clearly understood what I needed done. His work order/contract was clear and easy for me to understand, to accept, and execute down payment for the work. The repair team that completed the work arrived ahead of scheduled appointment time. I received a call telling me they were on their way to my house. All were professional and demonstrated they cared for my property. The work was completed and if no one knew of the damage, they could not tell it was repaired. What an awesome job they did!"

"All went well. Some issues with the foundation were worse than thought so the work took a little longer but it was definitely needed. Part of an addition had been built without proper foundation as in none. It was hanging in air. They made an extra trip to replace and fix drains that had to be removed. Took extra care to make sure as little damage to carpet as possible. Terrance Blackwell and crew came for the outside work. They were great. I really appreciated Terrance's extra trip to make sure the drains were fixed. Austin Wells and Peter Dang came for basement floor lift and level and I greatly appreciated their extra effort to take care of the carpets even though they had to drill through the floor. The little extras made a big difference. Good people, good work."

Customers say: Quick response

"We reached out and were able to coordinate Francisco coming out for a quote. Got a quote that day. We decided to move forward a few days later and they started that week. The process was very quick and easy. Francisco made sure to ask about colors and finish that we wanted, and listened to all of the details we specified originally (like rounded edges). We love the patio and have already received many compliments on it!"

"Bottom Line Up Front: I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this business! Outstanding service from beginning to end; scheduling the estimate, the estimate itself, scheduling the actual work, and finally the execution of the work. Every person I dealt with along the way was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The technicians arrived at almost exactly the scheduled time and were a real pleasure to interact with. They raised several sections of our pool's concrete deck and injected foam under other sections to ensure they did not shift in the future. During the foam installation process, the technicians discovered several large voids under the slabs that required a lot mor foam than originally estimated. They notified me as soon as they discovered they would need to pump more than estimated, so I was not surprised when the final bill arrived. What's more, Jackcrete was very, very fair with the final charges."

"This company is terrific! I have one small rectangular area of driveway that is vulnerable to water damage. They repaired this 2 or 3 years ago and it sank again. I had my paperwork and showed it to Rocky, who came to look at the problem. They said they would re-level due to the problem and they did, with perfection. Others I have talked to also said they were pleased with the work this company did. A1 in my book! Thanks"

"The most challenging part of the job for us was removing all of the furniture from the family room as well as taking up the laminate floor prior to Concrete Jack's arrival. Two workers arrived on time, drilled holes in the slab, injected the foam and "lifted" the slab back to level. Before they left they filled the drilled holes with a concrete mixture. I think their part of the job was finished within an hour. Then my wife and I re-installed the laminate floor and put the furniture back in the room. Our part took many more hours than their part for this particular job. Overall very happy with the result."

"Freddy was very professional and knowledgeable and explained that the water issues were not the result of foundation issues and explained what he could do if i wanted a dry basement. He did not try to sell me something that i did not need."

"I purchased a foreclosure home and the heating system was an oil furnace so I had a company come in and instal a heat pump for me. I had a partial basement and I wanted vents throughout. They had to run tubes in the corner of my guest bedroom. Slocum Contracting came out i hired him to build a closet around those pipes. He hung the sheet rock and installed a coating of joint compound as well. He got the first coat put on and I was amazed that he was able to get that done with the time he had. The rest I can now finish myself and I was very pleased. He was able to understand exactly what I wanted. I communicated with him by phone ahead of time and I was able to get everything that he needed before he came out."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Vcu-west, VA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
