"It was an easy fix. Provider came out at 7PM on a Friday night. It was a simple matter of adjusting the gas valve on the water tank, with instruction to put vents on the closet doors where the unit was housed. Although I questioned the service tech about a new water  heater, he assured me it was not necessary.  I know of other companies who would have jumped on that opportunity to make an unnecessary sale, so I can't say enough how much I appreciated the honesty!

"Our washing machine broke down on Saturday afternoon -- why do appliances always break on the weekend? -- and it is no longer covered by warranty. We had used A & S before and were very satisfied with their service so we thought we would try them again.  We called them early Monday morning and they agreed to send a tech between 3:00 and 6:00 that day.  At 3:00, the tech Schuyler called to inform us that he would be at our home in 10 minutes.  We showed him the washer and described the problem.  He checked out the unit and quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken motor coupler.  He gave us an estimate for the time and cost to repair and we agreed.  He had the necessary part and tools in his truck and quickly returned to make the repair. He carefully moved a few things out of his way in the laundry room and tilted the washer in order to make the repair.  All told, he took about 15 minutes to remove the damaged part and install the replacement.  After he re-positioned the washer and replaced the items that he had to move, he tested the machine thoroughly and let it run while he returned his tools to his truck and wrote up the invoice.  He also gave us his cell phone number so we could call him in case we noticed any problems with the repair.  The invoice price matched the estimate exactly, as it should.  Overall, it was another excellent experience with a very good service company."

"Dean's was recommended to me by my downstairs neighbor, who also recommended the tech, Ben. This went great from start to finish.
I called the 800 # concerning my dryer vent cleaning. I was connected to Jenny, the office manager, who was able to schedule me the following week. During the call we discussed HVAC duct cleaning and she explained that the tech could take a look and tell me whether my ductwork would need cleaning (and, to be clear, I knew it would - I had not cleaned it previously and have lived here a long time). She stated the prices for me and gave me a  two-hour service window. She told me to call back and ask for her if I had questions, which I appreciated.
Ben arrived 10 minutes early and called to let me know he was in the neighborhood. Ben came into my apartment - after putting plastic over his shoes, etc. - and took a look at the jobs and described how he would do them (using a large vacuum cleaner, basically). He was able to work on my dryer vent, even though I did not have roof access (to the outlet). Ben set up efficiently and the job was done in the two-hour window I received.
The cleaning of the blower unit in my HVAC was service that I elected when Ben was here - he found that the blower was very dusty while he was cleaning the ducts and explained that he could also service the blower. He did not hard sell me or anything like that.
There were no issues parking in Center City where I live, which I appreciated. Occasionally contractors make a big deal out of it.
Prices were as quoted. 
HVAC is working well. I haven't yet tested the dryer.

"This company is extremely honest, hard working, and reasonable in price. I contaced Millenium Remodeling because I had a leaky shower that was leaking into the kitchen ceiling causing water damage. I also wanted to get a couple of other home improvement projects done around the house as well. I had contaced a couple of other contractors to get an estimate about the leaky shower and everyone had told me that I would have to rip out the entire shower and replace it because they would not know where the source of the leak was coming from. Also, everyone told me that I would have to call a handy man to get all the other projects done. I was confused because the other contractors advertised  that no project is too small. So, when Darin from Millenium arrived to my house and looked at my shower and said that it was a simpe fix and I did not have to tear out my entire shower, I was pleased. I was even more pleased that they said they could also do the other projects. Mike and Dan who were the main people who worked on my home, were awesome!  They were respectful of my home and always left my home clean with little or no mess at all everyday. The two would engage in my 10 month daughter and she loved it. The leaky shower gave Mike and his team a run for the money. The shower continued to leaky, after stripping all the caulk, removing the shower doors, cleaning the entire shower, and re-caulking. Mike spent many days figuring out where the source of the leak was coming from, but he never gave up, which is something that I like when hiring people. Mike finally figured the source of the leak in the shower and it has never leaked since then. The other thing that I really loved about this company was that they would ask to come in on saturdays or days that they were not scheduled to come to finish up a project, so that I would not have a missing bedroom door or not having outlet covers on my tile backsplash that is waiting for the mastic to dry. I would definitely use this company in the future for any additional home improvement projects that I may have.

"Joe is amazing. I've used JYJR contracting on multiple occasions, over the course of several years, and have never had a negative experience. The biggest job they have done at our home was a complete bathroom remodel. Joe worked with us to chose materials that we wanted but that would also fit within our budget. They showed up when they said they would and stayed until the job was done. The first thing that they did was cover all of our hardwood floors, (even in areas where they were not directly working), we found this indicative of the overall way that all employees of JYJR treated our home with the utmost care and respect.
