"Working with Artistic Fence was a great experience.  We needed a fence that could contain a dog that can climb chain link, but didn't want a privacy fence to cut us off from our neighbors.  Amy from Artistic Fence came and looked over our property, talked about our options for our fence, and wrote out a bid right there.  She answered all my questions, and was very helpful and professional.  Their bid came in on the low end of the quotes we got.  Their building timeline was reasonable, even though it was the busy season for new fences, and the folks that came to build the fence where prompt, and impressively efficient.  The fence is exactly what we hoped for, and is beautifully done.  We couldn't be happier with it.

Update: A few months after the fence was installed, a few of the wooden caps that cover the fence posts began to split, assumedly because of water.  I called them, they sent someone out, and replaced the broken parts free of charge under the warranty."

"It got off to a rocky start. I had sent in the contract and my money mid Fall and when the first snowfall occurred they were a no show. So, I called and they eventually got someone out the next day. Okay, I thought, I am a new contract. I must have gotten lost in the shuffle.
On the second snow fall, it was a heavy one over 1/2 foot, it took them 9 hours after the snow stopped to show up and plow my driveway. In essence I was stuck in my home until they arrived which was most of the day. I just didn't find this acceptable.  At the very most 6 hours after the snow stops, and even that is too long. The previous company that plowed my driveway would show up during a heavy snow storm and clear my driveway, and if it kept snowing they returned afterward to clear it again. And this hasn't improved. On average it is taking over 9 hours. On one occasion over 12 hours.
I can understand that being a fixed price contract they cannot just keep coming to my house multiple times for a single snow fall, but I cannot agree that this means I sit in my house over 9+ hours before they show up and clear a heavy snow fall that my car cannot get through.
Another complaint, and this is just about the nature of the contract, is that I signed up for 2" service. Which I thought meant that when I had 2" or more of snow in my driveway that they would come and plow. I was wrong. What I was told was that a single snow storm "event" (their word) has to be 2" or more. So, if it snows less than 2" on multiple occasions in a row and I end up with 4,5 or even 6 inches of snow in my driveway they will not plow it under my contract.
My final complaint is they just aren't doing a quality job. They don't make an effort to get close to the garage to clear it. I understand they don't wanna damage my door, but these guys have hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of experience. You are telling me they can't get closer than three feet? Also, they just don't clear it from side to side. Every time they show up I have to go out with my shovel and shovel down each side of the driveway. If I didn't do this over time my driveway would narrow in size. I don't pay someone to plow my driveway so that I have to come home, or get up in the morning, and shovel it.
In the end I am just not getting the kind of service I expect for the money I am paying. I will be switching to another service for next winter.

Update: I had my asphalt guy out to see if my driveway needed a coating this year and he informed me that there are large gashes in my driveway from a plow truck dropping its plow. Great. I lowered my quality rating to a C."

"From start to finish, we had a good experience with Fireside Hearth and Home. The store sales staff: very knowledgeable -- they had good information and suggestions but let us make the final decisions without pressure. The installers: neat, courteous, and very accurate  -- an especially welcome skill as they made holes in our wall to vent the stove pipe out and run the gas line in. The scheduler: a true gem -- she cheerfully juggled staff to guarantee our established start-up date.
This is the second purchase we've made at the Eden Prairie store (we had a corner fireplace installed in our upper level 15 years ago), and we would not hesitate to go there again if we ever want a similar type product installed.

"We are happy to day we have finally found a landscape contractor we can rely on and does exceptional work. We had several phases of work performed by them. Tony Cordes and Lasting Impressions Landscape restored our faith in landscape contractors. The water feature design and end result are absolutely gorgeous. The retaining walls and walk ways not only added function and beauty but enhanced the value of our property. In addition to all the hardscape services Tony and his company also provided erosion and water control. Installing several lines of drain tile and reshaping our side yard as to cure water intrusion issues. 
We had specific desires and needs - Tony Cordes not only listened to these but took them to another level. His crew was professional and respectful of our property. "We originally had laminate flooring on most of the main floor (about 575 s.f.) in our 4 year old home. Due to a leaky wash machine, all of the laminate flooring had to be removed. My wife and I had never had tile installed before, but we decided to give Joe at Tabery Design a call. Within a day or two Joe stopped by to give us an estimate for installing tile throughout all the damaged rooms (kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, dinette and foyer). In addition to the estimate, Joe gave us tips on what to look for when selecting floor tile and gave us ideas on various tile installation patterns. He also recommended quality tile distributors in our area where we could shop. To eliminate any future problems we may have with a leaky wash machine, Joe had the idea to install a shower drain under the wash machine. What a great idea! When we gave him the go ahead for the installation, Joe immediately ordered the tile and started prepping the floor. Instead of using the traditional cement backer board to lay the tile on, Joe recommended pouring a thin layer or self-leveling concrete on the subfloor which he had covered with a paper. This would greatly reduce the chance of cracking when the house settles. A nice touch in my opinion. After the floor had cured, Joe was right back to install the tile. It took about 2-3 days to completely install the tile. The grout took an additional day. From the beginning of the floor prep to the end of the grout work, the job took about 5 work days. Very quick for 575 s.f. in my opinion. Throughout the job Joe was extremely professional. He always picked up before he left for the day and he was extremely meticulous about how the tile was installed. My wife and I are so happy with the way the floor turned out. Thanks to Joe, everything was done efficiently and painlessly. As a result, we have a master bathroom and a kitchen backsplash we'd like to have tiled and Tabery Design will be at the top of our list when we decide to move forward with them. I would recommend Joe to anyone interested in having a high-quality tile floor installed. Thanks again Joe!"
