"We had a really great experience with Aaron and Leafy Lawns. I submitted a request to have sod installed plus extra work required (old retaining wall removed) in our backyard and Aaron responded same day with a roundabout estimate. He then came out the next day after completing another job, measured accurately, and put together a formal quote. He also made a recommendation on the grass (Zoysia) that I was not considering due to my own lack of knowledge of maintenance and the shade throughout the backyard. As I was getting other quotes, he was very responsive when I had any questions and communicated open dates that his team would be available. After I received the other quotes, I chose Arron due to his knowledge of grass, his responsiveness and professionalism, his friendly and tolerant manner, and his price came in lower or comparable compared to other quotes that lacked all of the above qualities. My point is that it was an easy decision to choose Leafy Lawns over the other quotes. The job took roughly 13-14 hours spread out over a two day period. Aaron’s crew did an amazing job in removing the old grass/weeds, adding additional soil where needed, and cleaning up all debris. On sod installation day, Aaron and crew arrived bright and early (7:30am or so) and completed the job by 1pm EST. Aaron provided an exact estimate on the amount of grass needed and we covered every bit of ground we wanted to cover without needing additional. He organized all debris to be removed from the premises on the day the sod was installed. We were amazed at how great our yard looked after Aaron and his crew left and are still in awe of how we lucked out in choosing the right company for the job. I’ve also waited two weeks to write this review to ensure that everything with the grass was as promised after it’s been installed. Aaron’s Zoysia recommendation has worked great and our yard looks terrific. We’ve followed Aaron’s watering instructions since the install and have noticed that Zoysia was the perfect grass choice given the dry and hot conditions this summer. We will be hiring Aaron again soon for additional projects and can’t emphasize enough the enjoyment that our family had working with him. "Quick estimate and fast work. Was very professional from start to finish. High quality work at an affordable price. Highly recommend Philip. This was a mess I dealt with for years and had contacted numerous folks for help. People don't show up, get overwhelmed and don't call back with an estimate or try to rip off a single female. Philip was amazing and I'm so thankful to have found him. Update: Most of the work was done as per the contract minus a few little things that I questioned but decided to let go....such as the top of the retaining wall having a thick layer of dirt so plant things....and it was mulched instead. The mulch was thin and a few inches of digging you run into the concrete blocks and aren't able to plant much at all. I've had about half of the plants die that we tried to plant. I began having issues with the work soon thereafter it was completed. Water was still a major issue and his solutions did not work. I contacted him several times asking for repairs to be made on pipes that are coming out of the ground that were supposed to be buried. He has made two unannounced trips to my house which has a locked privacy fence so he couldn't properly evaluate or fix anything. He tried to get the Metro Parks to fix some issues he found which I had previous stated the Parks were not willing to fix and knew about. I thanked him for visiting but asked for help from HIM on his part. He stated that he was still thinking about how to fix the problem. It's been over a year and nothing has been fixed. He has never scheduled a time to come look at the yard or do work. I continue to have a messy muddy backyard. He has a two year warranty on his work but it's not being held up. He made a few emails and phone calls to apologize. I asked him to please give me some money back if he didn't know how to fix this like he thought he could and he has not replied. I think over a year is unreasonable and I have been more than patient. Some of the work is still fine, the gutters and drain spouts are good. The retaining wall itself is well made. The beginning to the end of the project was fine. It's just getting him to do the work on the 2 year warranty for things that aren't working or are coming apart. I believe he may have more than he can handle or perhaps doesn't know how to fix it but isn't willing to give any money back to find someone to fix it."

"Nelson Masonry did a fantastic job replacing the surface of three landings and steps leading to two of those landings. The materials we ended up selecting was a bit more on price than we originally intended, but the result is one that is spectacular and should never need to be redone no matter how long we own this house. Kim and Nick originally suggested a less expensive stone, but when we explained what we really wanted as the end result, had a few more options for us to consider. They were patient through it all, and then really performed above expectations. When we have another project to do, we will definitely be calling them again."

"We had 3 different companies (1 general contractor and 2 concrete companies) come out to look at our property and talk to us about building a stand-a-lone garage and/or concrete work for the garage. Then Bryan Hudson from Superior Buildings discussed the job with us. He was the first person who really knew the grading issues involved due to the slope of our property, including tree removal, temporary fencing for our dogs, and a retaining wall. Bryan was aware of county codes and gave us a rough cost estimate based on photos of our property. We decided it was worth the $100 cost to have Bryan come for a site visit to discuss the job in detail. After receiving a written quote we signed a contract and work began in February. After delays due to rainy weather the grading and retaining wall were completed. We also had to adjust the building size due to county restraints for our property size. The concrete work for the garage was completed in March and the steel building was ordered thru Superior Buildings. Part of our project was to widen our driveway at the street but as we looked at the existing driveway we decided to replace the whole driveway. This driveway replacement was completed in April after the building was on order. When we had trouble getting a sod company to finish the final grading and install new sod, Bryan helped us out and completed this work for us. We are very pleased with the completed project and would highly recommend Bryan Hudson and Superior Buildings. Communication is critical for a project of this scope. Bryan was accessible and responsive even on evenings and weekends. He was very patient with us and respectful of our concerns. It is obvious that he loves his job and he simply has too much fun with his machines!"
