I knew that I needed flooring work done and when the workers told me that they could take out the floor and repair it as well as install the new toilet I was thrilled to be able to get one stop shopping. I had used Winkle's before and had been pleased with the work and while the estimate seemed a bit high I was anxious to get the project completed because we needed our bathroom in working order again. My husband took half a day from work so that he could be present when the work was being done but they did not show up nor did they call to say that they weren't coming. Two toilets sat in my living room with no communication from them as to when they would be coming back for several days . Their reason for not coming on the day that they had said they would be here was a shortage of workers due to COVID 19. I can fully appreciate that, I do not understand why they could not call and say that they would not be coming or call to reschedule. They were very friendly and the work in my main bathroom seems to have been done well. I do wish that I had not have asked them to come back to do the second bathroom floor. Word of advice...they seem to do great with plumbing their communication skills could use some work."

"With the recent snow melt and the rain we are having this may be a timely recommendation. I hope you don’t have this need, but if you do I would like to recommend Master Service Company. We had at least six estimates for waterproofing our basement and although not nearly the cheapest, we were impressed by the presentation and the personnel and low key sales approach. So, we hired them! The work was done last week and again we were impressed with the crew doing the work, the care given to hold down the dust created, the quality of the materials used, and the willingness of the crew to keep us apprised of the job as it progressed. The was great care given to cleanup of what is a very messy job. We waited until the repair had been “battle tested”, (and this inclement weather has certainly accomplished that) before writing a recommendation. We could not be more pleased at this point. "We contacted Rocky in early October 2014. The wood retaining wall that made our garden was rapidly deteriorating and needed to be replaced. We wanted to have it removed and replaced with split-face block, We also wanted to add the retaining wall all the way to our outside shed and a smaller garden (about 141' long and about 4' tall). Rocky promptly gave us an estimate, but was unable to start until March 2015 due to other commitments and the weather. By the time Rocky was able to start in late April, the old retaining wall had fallen and made quite a mess in our backyard. Rocky used three other workers. Once they started, they worked without stopping until the early evening, and some weekends too. The job went from 4/27 to 5/12/15. Rocky came several times to the job site. The workers cleaned up at the end of the job. We are pleased with the results. Perhaps one suggestion would be to incorporate a detailed drawing with a more accurate view and count of blocks and other materials. At times, it was not very cleared in our minds how the job was going to be done or looked like. With today's computer programs, it would benefit both the contractor and the client to have a visual representation of the project. Rocky is dependable, fair and pleasant, and we recommend him. Note- his prices are a bit higher than others, but you will be pleased.
