" I hired the Oneill brothers I couldn’t be happier with the concrete work done in my backyard. They were very professional the job was completed within the agreed timeframe and budget. The crew was respectful of my property, kept the work area clean, and made sure everything was done to high standards. Overall, I highly recommend this team for anyone looking for quality concrete work. They truly went above and beyond to deliver a beautiful, durable backyard space that I’ll enjoy for years to come! "Perfectly. Carl met with me for a challenging problem/project I had previously hired (years ago) another contractor to solve/install. It involved installing a natural stone “stairway,“ with landings, on two small hills. The previous contractor did not succeed. Carl assessed and knew instantly what needed to be done, gave me a reasonable price, communicated effectively, always showed up on time with his crew and, at the risk of sounding hyperbolic, did a perfect job. Every member of his crew was customer and project focused. I already plan to welcome them back for another project elsewhere on my property."

"Chris is very friendly and responsive. Despite his busy schedule, he gave us fast turnaround on the estimate and scheduled our one-day repairs before starting another project that could take a few weeks. Chris did a great job in repairing cracks on the front porch, chimney, and stone wall. He also replaced a broken flagstone on the stone steps. We know who to call the next time we need masonry work!"

"We had a great experience. Denis was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process. His price was reasonable compared to other providers, and the job was accomplished quickly and without issue. We'd gladly hire Philadelphia Brick and Stone Pointing again."

"Great experience working with JRL. My kitchen was in serious need of a remodel, and frequently, I didn't have a defined idea of the best route to take. Jim's design provided greater space (a priority in my postwar 1200 square-foot split-level) while avoiding any overly pricey steps (such as re-locating a window). Marty was a terrific project manager, well-humored, always able to explain options, and an advocate for my concerns. Highest possible marks to the Marty's carpentry, John's assistance with moving furniture, crew that removed dividing wall and drywall, crew that installed new drywal, plumber, electrician (including bringing panel up-to-date), hardwood floor team (had new flooring put in for kitchen, and had existing first-floor hardwood refinished), painter (again, all of first floor covered), tile crew. Average mark to the counter supplier. Delighted with finished product, wish I hadn't waited so long!"

"Andy, Rob, Jeremiah and Dave were pleasant to work with and did excellent work. They give great attention to detail and take pride in their work. They matched the color of the mortar to the original on our historic home. Damaged bricks were repaired to perfection. Previous flaws are imperceptible. And, after cleaning, the 100 year old brick looks like new."

"Everything was repaired well. They went beyond the scope of the original work to fix the other problems, including replacing a shingle on my detached garage that I didn't even notice had been lost. This was done at no additional charge. I was very pleased with the work, and would recommend them to others."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Wallingford, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
