"In a nutshell, it was a great experience. We are very happy with his work, price, and attitude. I originally called to have a faucet replaced in our bathroom. It was very old and the piping was old. When Jeremie came in ( on a Friday ), he saw the faucet and was able to do the work, but my wife asked him if he could replace our vanity too since he was down there. He said he could, but obviously we didn't have a vanity for him to install. I told him I wanted the faucet installed and we would get a vanity later on. He suggested we do both at once. He didn't want to charge us to install a faucet and then install a vanity. We agreed and he was able to come back on Monday to do the whole job. We bought the vanity and on Monday he arrived. He tried to install the vanity, but it did not fit. It was just not going to work the way the vanity was built ( it had drawers that went right over the piping and we have a very small bathroom so there was no way to move it ). We went to go and return it and get another one. He did not mind and he had to go to get some supplies so he was with us when we got the new vanity to make sure it would work. I really appreciated the work Jeremie did and the way he approached the curve balls thrown his way. He did not try and nickel and dime us and was very determined to give us what we wanted. I will not hesitate to give him a call if we need any plumbing work done."

"Eric came to my condo and stripped down the furnace to get to the heat exchanger, checked that it did have a leak and then told me that if I wanted someone else to do the repair there was no charge for the diagnostic visit! I was amazed -- he had spent over an hour at my condo and wasn't going to charge me! He also recommended several upgrades to the furnace, the AC-coil and a new water heater. He gave me quotes for each and a package deal quote to do everything in one visit. After checking estimates from a couple of other companies, I realized that Eric's quote was acceptable and decided to have him do the whole package. The only problem with the work is that they have to come back a second time to finish hooking up the new AC coil to the AC lines -- they hadn't realized that lifting the furnace made the original lines fall short of the new AC coil. Also, they brought the wrong size double-walled flu pipes for the furnace. They will also switch those with the existing single wall flu pipes on their second visit."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Ward, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
