"Josh has a great attitude, good sense of humor and is easy to work with. He arrived and looked at my front porch railing that was falling forward and advised of a couple different ways to fix it. I appreciated his bluntness as time is precious. He quoted me a price to temporarily fix the railing and also install a lock to an upstairs room. He was able to temporarily fix it with a future date to permanently fix it because we have to get the materials wood concrete screws to permanently fix it. He was also able to install the lock to the upstairs room. Overall it was a good experience and I have hired him for future projects."

"He contacted me very promptly and came to look at the project. He explained to me what the problem was and stated he did not have the proper special equipment to make the repair. He recommended a company that he felt sure would be able to do the work."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"My drains had been slow, but when I smelled sewer gas I knew it was time to call for help.  A friend had given me Dunn Rights number.  I called and got an estimate from him for snaking the pipe.  I called a couple of other companies also and Dunn Rights estimate was the same or less.  I asked my neighbor to let him in, so I did not meet him personally.  I was told he showed up when he said (and on the same day I called and asked for the estimate!)   He snaked the drain.   My neighbor told him the history of my problem and asked how to handle the problem.  The real problem with my plumbing was explained - old house syndrom - and tips for how to keep the visits from the plumber to a minimum were given along with a detailed explination of what would be involved in a fix (jackhamering the foundation) and the problems/benefits associated from the fix.  Then he called and explained this to me at work (after asking if I had time.)  When I went home you could not tell that an icky drain snake had been hauled into the basement bathroom (which also happens to be the access point to the main line.)  He made the effort to clean up - and from previous experience I know that's a messy messy job!  He called back a few days later to make sure everything was draining properly and that the sewer gas smell had gone away."

"Tim repaired several items in my home including diagnosing a bathroom leak (that another contractor got wrong), Tim then repaired it, and then he replaced the drywall and painted the affected area to restore it to like new. Tim also fitted a window air unit for me that was not quite the right size and it looks fantastic. He also fixed a broken inner doorknob very quickly and fixed a nagging shower faucet leak. Tim arrived at the agreed upon time, and even called me when he was on his way. I thought the price was very fair and reasonable. Tim is well mannered and left the job areas spotless."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Warrensburg, MO

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
