"In the past, we’ve typically hired general contractors based on solicitations at our home. This has unfortunately resulted in more than a few misses. But we went through Angi this time and the pro we chose, Omar’s General Contracting, was definitely a hit. Omar was professional and communicative. His crew was great. On time, very tidy, reasonably priced, flexible, and a perfect finished product. We hired them on Sunday and they started on Monday. In two days, Omar and his crew were able to basically rebuild our entire eat-in kitchen ceiling following a large plumbing project. I honestly think it looks better now than it did before the work. "It went great!  The 6 recessed lights, and ceiling fan electricals were installed in 3 hours.  By the end of the day, the ceiling fan and switch were installed and the first coat of sheet rock patching was complete.  The next day, the second coat of skim coat was complete and the painter painted the entire ceiling in both the kitchen/living room and office.  He didn't just paint the patches--he painted the whole ceiling.  After completing that, John took 2 days to investigate 2 leaks around a door and window.  Upon opening the wall, John discovered there was nothing between the siding and the interior sheet rock and trim.  Poor construction by our tract homebuilder caused leaking and condensation, creating water damage.  John repaired both areas with extensive caulking and insulation. 
This is our second time using Pierpoint Construction for our remodeling and home repairs.  The crews are always ahead of schedule, polite, and experts in what they do.  They will always propose the proper way to fix something and will never take shortcuts. I think most of these folks have been doing their specialty for at least 15 years.  I was caught off guard on how fast they were and I had to hurry up and buy the ceiling fan because they were ready to install it within 3 hours on the first day.  You get what you pay for, and Pierpoint Construction is well worth the cost in time saved and absolute quality of materials and workmanship. They are our go-to construction firm.
