"Dear Naperville Windows and Doors Team, I would like to share my absolute satisfaction with the services you have provided. I am thrilled with the finished product! Absolutely thrilled. I hired your company primarily based upon the work I saw you perform at my brother's house earlier in 2022 in Naperville. I'm very glad that I did. In addition to the highest quality of work, your overall pricing was very reasonable and competitive. A great value. You have once again delivered a high performance and met or exceeded each of my expectations. I will plan on working with you again when future opportunities arise such as my entry door and/or rear kitchen slider door. I appreciated the efficient initial project survey and delivery of quotation by Mr. Bruce to begin the project. Company owner Don taking the time in walking the job site and confirming the quotation details line by line prior to finalizing the contract gave me further confidence I was making the right choice by hiring your firm. I appreciated the organization and responsiveness of the office team from Sandy and Viktoria during the overall process. It was smooth all along. Finally, your installation crew of Joe, Jerry and Patrick are simply impressive. Extremely organized, clean, pleasant, efficient and hardworking. I was present during the installation and watched how they worked together, fixed existing defects affecting the new work without hesitation and installed my windows as if it were their own house. They asked me for my thoughts on several details which I appreciated. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of the finishing touches. The exterior appearance surrounding the new windows in the front of the house was a primary concern of mine from the beginning of this project. They are fine craftsmen and the aluminum cladding installation exceeded my expectations and resolved my concerns with the look of the final product."

"I am very pleased with my window replacement through Scientific Home Services. The windows look beautiful and work wonderfully. I put off replacing windows for quite some time because I was afraid of the process. But the installers worked efficiently and had everything like new in a few hours. Both Mark and Jon are wonderful to work with. I am the third homeowner in my subdivision to hire Scientific, and with good reason."

"From the initial estimate, to the scheduling, installation, and follow-up, our entire experience was top notch. Joe came out for the initial meeting and estimate for five new windows we were hoping to replace and was on time, professional, knowledgeable, and in no way pushy. And when we had follow-up questions, he kindly returned to our house the following day. Shortly after deciding to proceed with Illinois Energy and Windows, they sent a follow-up technician to double-check measurements prior to manufacturing. Our windows were manufactured and ready for installation several weeks early and Samantha made scheduling our installation super easy. Max and his crew (3 total) arrived right on time on install day and quickly got to work with laying down protective plastic and tape to keep dust to a minimum. We were told they should be able to complete the job in one day, but might need a second day depending on how the install went. Max and his crew worked efficiently, but in a very thorough manner and ended by around 3pm. The team was diligent in cleaning up all of the debris and dust and made sure we were happy with the installation and had all of our questions answered before leaving. Beyond being very happy with the final installed product, I am most impressed by the organized and professional communication we experienced from start to finish. Despite interacting with numerous points of contact, it was clear that all were on the same page and up to speed on the project history and status. I would, without hesitation, go back to Illinois Energy and Windows for additional window replacements. Great job all around!"

"Door install went well, it opens and closes and looks nice. now i just have to clean up all the dust that was left behind. literally have to mop and dust my entire first floor and upstairs. installers didn't hang any plastic. I called to pay the remainder of my bill and they agreed not to charge me the 2% credit card fee as consolation. so ... i'll use someone else next time."

"George Krinninger & Sons deserves your business. They were phenomenal and I would use them again if I ever needed to have a door installed. When we were looking to have our front and back doors replaced, we went to Menards to look at doors. While we were there, a sales associate recommended we reach out to one of their preferred contractors, George Krinninger & Sons, to assist us with replacing the doors. We did and it was the best decision. We worked with Mike and he was incredible. He was very knowledgeable, responsive, and walked us through the whole process. He even went out of his way to go with us to the store to help us pick out the right doors. When it came time for the installation, he showed up right on time, was incredibly professional, and a pleasure to chat with. When the project was done, he left the work area spotless and walked us through any features the doors/locks had. The quality of his work and the experience we had with George Krinning & Sons really speaks for itself. We highly recommend you use them."

"We hired Bak Brothers to install our windows and doors for our home renovation project. We had 23 Marvin Integrity windows, 1 Marvin sliding door, and 2 Menards prehung fiberglass entry doors. Throughout the whole process, Ben was responsive and punctual. I was very happy with the pace of the installs, the windows functioned very well after install, and the insulation appeared thorough. The doors were all installed very nicely as well. It's been several months, and a nice range of wet, dry, cold and hot, and all of the doors and windows still open and close freely. Our windows arrived on December 5, and the crew began installing on the 7th. Everything was complete by the 14th. The installers were very polite and worked efficiently. They pointed out one of the window frames that was imperfect/flawed and needed to be replaced by Marvin. The reinstall work wasn't inordinately expensive (although I was angry with Marvin over the fact that I had to absorb that cost). They were helpful in determining the proper height off the floor for the doors (since we didn't have a finished floor in yet). They also had to make adjustments to 5 or 6 of the rough openings, cut most of the sheathing for the openings, and had to completely build one additional rough opening. In a couple of cases, the work they had to do was more than just shimming in some wood -- they even rebuilt the header over the sliding door, which was a very sizeable span -- and in all cases I was extremely happy with their choices and execution. And the additional fees for the added labor were very reasonable -- the extra work resulted in 12% overage, or $580 on a $4650 contract. There was one bit of confusion regarding "wrapping" the windows. When we hired a siding crew, they had expectations of the amount of exterior wrapping that Bak would do, and I never got a clear sense from Ben that they would typically handle that. Ultimately the siders took care of it, but only because I didn't really know to ask Ben to handle it. One area of concern was that my house used Zip System sheathing and tape, and from my early discussions with Ben, it was clear they weren't familiar with it. I sent them a lot of info and videos (from Huber Engineered Woods) but I don't know if they reviewed that info. I looked like they did the window flashing (with the Zip tape I provided) correct, but since I wasn't able to monitor the work, I don't really know. But they did seem fully confident the whole time, which was a positive. And they absorbed the cost of the specialized Zip System materials where needed (I already had most of what they needed) when they could have justified passing those costs onto me. The price for the work was highly competitive, and ultimately we feel it was a very good deal for the quality of work we received. A side note: we asked them to also bid on building the porches we had in our plans for the house. Unfortunately their bid for that work came in surprisingly high -- almost triple what other carpenters were bidding. It was very unexpected, so we did not hire them for that work. We assumed it wasn't a good fit for them, or the timing was bad, and that was why the bid was so high. But given the way the window and doors went, we would gladly hire them for any work if the bid was within our budget."

"I was given a quote when the person arrived for my house outside windows. My credit card was charged $300 extra and the manager would not help me. They defended person who did the job and were okay with the company stealing $300. Not even a good job done. Very upsetting. Please don?t use this company!! "

"The service provided by Bill and Linda from start to finish is impeccable. I have used them on 2 separate occasions. From start to finish they were very responsive, professional and all around great to work with. They came to my house and consulted with me on type of window covering that best suited my needs as well as pattern/color that best matched my decor. It was very helpful to see a sample of the exact window covering in my room to better judge how well it matched as well as to gauge the light filtering/blocking affect. The prices they provide are very competitive and I really appreciate that not only do they consult but they measure and install too. I will continue to use Image Custom Blinds as I replace older blinds."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Wasco, IL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
