"Although we live in the same town, we did not know this contractor, we used Angie's List as a resource and reviewed references. From start to finish, we could not have been more happier.  Gary responded quickly when we inquired about an estimate.  We furnished the wood for the ceiling which was actually, pre-finished flooring.  Gary picked up the oak wood for the beams and built the beams on site.  Although I do not know the size of the beams, they definitely are quite large.  We are still amazed as the entire project took less than 10 days given Gary and a partner did the work.   The worksite was cleaned up every day. At the end of the project, Gary furnished a copy of the lumber yard bill for the oak and even took the excess back so the bill could be adjusted.  We appreciated this very much.   







The finished product is absolutely beautiful and well done.  We will not hesitate to call G Brand for future carpentry work and basically, after seeing his work and work ethic, plan on calling him for a bathroom remodel planned in the future.  It is nice to know there are honest hard-working people out there who really wants to do a good job and G Brand is one of them!

"I bought a deal on Angie's list from him.   He wouldn't come out beforehand to discuss what was needed, which was very frustrating because I had several things that needed to be done which I explained to him.  I asked him to call me back after the work was done and tell me how much it would be for them to do the rest of work. He hadn't seen my backyard so he wasn't able to tell me what he would be able to do.  He came and did the work while I was at work.  He choose to level the area (which was one of the things I needed to have done) and moved some of the landscaping blocks (which I told him to move but didn't know where he would put them).  He didn't call me back after the job to discuss what was further needed or why he choose to do the particular work that he did.
The work was acceptable but I wanted him to come out to discuss what could be done for the price that I purchased.

"Jim & Ben were on it... and the den now looks great! It was a dark worn wood look and now it's fresh and beautiful! Fantastic job! Jim recommended (in changing dark wood to a light color) to caulk all cracks and that was a tremendous suggestion. Everything was sprayed and they used Sherwin Williams Emerald paint...the primer and new coats of paint are smooth, even and very professionally done...really awesome! Jim even came back after the job was completed to touch-up and make it extra nice! Please, take our advise, get a quote from Jim BEFORE you give the job out...you won't be disappointed:)"
