He asked several questions to ascertain the issue with my garage door and gave me a ballpark on what might be going on and the options available. He indicated that I may not need a new opener motor and said if that was still an interest after the service tech looked at it and gave an estimate, he could have one on the truck just in case. He also summarized the motors he carries, price points, and features so I could be aware of them. I asked about this....it wasn't a sales pitch of any sort ( which I greatly appreciated). Ken answered a lot of questions in language that was easy to understand. The service tech, Spencer, was in the area and able to get to my job within two hours. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and congenial. When I asked, He explained the parts and function of the door and opener in a way that I could make an informed decision on whether to replace the opener. I learned a lot about this AND did not end up getting a new opener motor. It appears to me that Ponderosa wants their customers to understand the options available as well as provide the information to make a decision on repair or replace. There was absolutely no pressure to go one way or another. I am impressed with their service, integrity, and responsiveness. I was delighedt that this turned out to be easy, quick, and affordable. I highly recommend Ponderosa and will do business with them when the time comes to replace the motor!
