"We could not be happier with Brandon's work, punctuality, cleanliness, personality, communication, honesty, pricing, and overall character. We actually had contracted to do some extra work for a few thousand. Day 1 of the job, Brandon calls to let us know that we do not need to do the work as he took the time and effort to get other opinions on the installation of a beam. Again, character. He could have easily installed, but he took the time to do right by his customer and that, in our experience, is essentially unheard of. The work he completed for us-on schedule-was more than we could have hoped for. He really does great work, listens to the customer (we are guilty of making many changes and talking far too much), but Brandon is beyond patient and willing to work with you. "I hired MA Design and Construction Co to do my bathroom remodel at the recommendation of a friend who also used them for a bathroom/kitchen remodel, and I would definitely hire them again. Not only did they finish right on schedule, but they understood my desire to stay within budget, and never tried to pressure me to overspend or increase costs. They did not start construction until all of the materials were in hand, or in stock, which made the renovation go even smoother. I also had some plumbing issues arise (old valves that needed replacing) which they were able to replace without adding time to the schedule. Marc, Raquel, and team were great and very responsive. Raquel’s design suggestions were really helpful to me, as I wasn’t 100% sure what would look good in a small bathroom. I would definitely recommend their work!"

Jan 28, 2016: We wanted vanities for 2 bathrooms and base and upper cabinets for a kitchen expansion. We were hoping to take advantage of free design services from Kitchen Design Center of Framingham (KCOF).

The cabinets did not meet our expectations. Instead of getting bathroom vanities we received kitchen cabinets for the bathrooms, meaning the vanities were significantly deeper than normal bath vanities. We provided the cabinet designer with specs for our bath sinks but the designer neglected to check to see if the sink would fit into the cabinet that they designed. After the marble counter was already produced we found out that the sink wouldn't fit and the solution proposed by Kitchen Design Center of Framingham was to cut down the sides of the cabinet and drawer boxes significantly. This solution was unacceptable and would void our warranty. Instead we found a replacement sink which would fit the cabinet and replaced the marble counter. Kitchen Design Center of Framingham refused to take any responsibility for their design error. Reluctantly, Kitchen Design Center of Framingham agreed to split the cost of the replacement marble counter, but insisted that these sorts of design issues happen all the time - yikes! In reality, we paid $580 for "free" design services.

The kitchen cabinets installation was also disappointing. None of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts line up as they should. The installers insisted that the cabinets were installed in the best possible way and said that it isn't possible to align the doors and drawer fronts, blaming the situation on the Wood Mode cabinets. During the design process we weren't notified that this would be the case. In fact, we don't believe that Wood Mode would make cabinets which didn't allow alignment of doors and drawer fronts. In fact, the entire rest of our kitchen is Wood Mode cabinets which align very nicely.

March 16, 2016: Following our initial review, Dave Bartlett at KCOF contacted us to see what could be done to rectify the situation. He agreed to pay the remaining balance ($580) for the marble countertop that wasn't used due to the sink change. He also agreed to come to the house and look at the door and drawer alignment issues. During his visit, he identified 2 issues and arranged to have these issues addressed. As a result, the alignment on the drawer and cabinet doors is improved.

"My first experience with Julio was an after-hours discovery that my water heater was going out. I urgently called a few people, then a Boston number for "emergency plumbing." The answering service was very kind and helpful in connecting me to Julio, and through a back and forth process of texts and iphone photos I was instructed how to turn off the water. It took a couple of hours for him to arrive with an assistant named Michael. They evaluated the situation, then offered to purchase a new Hot Water Heater at Home Depot, which they did, and then offered to continue the work and were all finished that evening--a bonus for me. Although I was a bit concerned about the process of having him do that purchase, I was given the receipt from home depot and the labor and installation cost was less than I paid the last time. I paid him the total with AmEx on a portable card reader. He apologized for the condition of the invoice he gave me, since he had to re-use one and it was a bit messy. Also, I wanted to have a TACO overflow valve installed, but our communication was a bit of a challenge, and I don't believe that was done. However, he did a reasonable job of cleaning up a tough basement situation. On the basis of this work, I hired the company again to install a new faucet in the kitchen, and to replace a garbage disposal. This time I shopped for both. Michael was sent at the agreed upon time, and did a fine job on the faucet. When it was time to replace the disposal, he consulted with Julio by phone and asked if I would like him first to try to repair the disposal, quoting me a labor cost that was lower than it would be for replacement. I agreed, and he was able to find the cause of the jam and I returned the new disposal. A happy result. This time I paid by check, I will call again as the need arises. I feel they do good work, with none of the high pressure or cost that I have had in the past with others doing similar work, and they are very nice people."

"Joe and his team did an amazing job! We are very pleased with how nice our house looks with the new roof, windows, back door and vinyl siding. Joe is a very good communicator and did a nice job helping us select materials. He mounted samples on the house so we could select our color. Once the work got started, everything went smoothly. The crew arrived on time every morning (for about three weeks), worked diligently through out the day, and left our home in a presentable state at the end of the each day. They were friendly and polite. Joe, the owner, also checked in on our house everyday and was very accessible for communication, either at our house each morning before we left for work or any time by phone or email. Joe also called us right away when there was an issue. There really weren't any issues except that our house is old and didn't have the correct foundation underneath the existing roof and siding. Joe explained to us and showed us the trouble spots, explained how it should be fixed and the extra cost this involved. We are confident that everything was fixed and installed correctly and we no longer have to worry about the past problems we were experiencing. Joe's electrician was also very good and did a great job with our outdoor outlets and light fixtures. Our neighbor told he was watching the crew work one day and was very impressed about the quality of their work - very detailed oriented. Their attention to the finishing details was excellent. Once the house was finished, we even saw a car pull over to take some pictures because it looked so good!"
